This really bothers me. Do you think this is a mockery or real 'preaching'? The preacher is about 18 months old.

quote:

Pastor Tipton was debating whether or not to preach. He said something about Kanon, so Kanon made his way to the platform to his poppy (Pastor). Dad just on a whim gave him the mic, and he started preaching.

Other than thru a miraculous act of the Spirit, I don't see how an eighteen month old could possibly preach! I guess I'll have to wait to answer the question until after listening to the "sermon."

Dianetavegia,
sadly, there is much mockery going on in the name of Christ. A local cable station sells many hours of air time to people telling the world that if they only send money to the preacher, God will provide for their needs (somewhat off topic, but it is still mockery).

Cute but embarrassing that people may actually attribute this as a "genuine move of the Holy Spirit..."

It appears like they do/did, earthless. Read the little write-up on it.

The child is imitating what he's seen his poppy do week in and week out. It's like a little guy playing with his father's tools. Cute, but not some special anointing.

I suppose we could say he was preaching in tongues... does anyone have an interpretation?

So I don't think it's preaching, but I don't think it's mockery, either. It's a cute imitation.

Oh, for pete's sake!!

My boss's (also my pastor) little boy used to do that after church was over sometimes. He was just mimicking his Dad.

We'd just laugh, say it was cute, and that was the extent of it.

Seriously, some people need to get a grip!!

Listen to the congregation. "Preach-out, brother! Preach-out! Thank you Jesus!' The pastor kneels down and eggs him on with 'One God' at one point. Another time I THINK I heard the preacher say 'Oh, he's got a verse'.

In another video, he lays hands on a woman.........

I don't think it's cute. I got it from someone who thinks it's wonderful, amazing, not ashamed of the Gospel.........

I wish we had seen who started what BUT....... the lady is certainly unstable and a racist. There was nothing Christian about how she handled the situation.

The guy WAS egging her on and it was so very obvious that she was not in control of herself. 'In the name of Jesus, stop it' just because the guy was smiling at her behavior??

Yet for those people in that coffee shop that day (and all over) that is what they think of when they hear "he/she's a Christian....."

As to the video of the lady in the store posted by earthless, a couple of things to keep in mind:

1. It's youtube. Anything can be set up to look a certain way. The lady and camera person could even be working together to create another 'crazy christian lady' to post all over the web. You just don't know.

2. If this was a real video, the lady is obviously mentally unstable and not in control of herself. I would think that most reasonable people can see that she is not in her right mind and therefore not representative of Christians everywhere.

Wow that lady is not on the right track. It's pretty sad.

Why o Why would anyone waste their time making that video or that song.......?

No wonder people don't believe in the Bible or Christianity.. I wouldn't either if I saw that stuff before I got saved.

I vote neither. It just looks like (to me) a little guy doing what he sees grandpa doing all the time, and people thinking it's cute/getting a kick out of it

Yes I really appreciate some of those great clips you find. I don't really like rap music, but I have a change of heart when I heard that.
