My wife and I were talking about this. I wonder if anyone HAS sued the US Govt over 9/11 for negligence, suffering etc etc....

I also wonder if the people awarded monies...like victims families etc etc, got paid their money but signed off on suing the Govt? Also how much did they get?

Any ideas?

Attorney Stanley Hilton started a lawsuit. He was invited on to Hannity an Colmes where Hannity shouted him out and didn't give him a chance to present his evidence.

I recall that the 911 victims were given large sums of money in exchange for signing a statement that they will pursue no further action against the government.

That is called 'hush money'.

The 'Jersey Girls' pursued their own course of action against the government.

Those things are usually called settlements.
I think they've been paid/given enough.

The Jersey girls? Enough is enough. I no longer pay them any attention since the 2nd or 3rd time they were on tv. Or was it the 5th or 6th? 7th? 8th? or was it the 9th?

and to the amount. According to the Rand Corp. it was about $3 million per family. Another report said over $2 million.

Did they "all" get it? I don't know.

<<< It's insulting to hear grieving families referred to as receiving HUSH MONEY; that sounds like something a hippie piece of trash professor might say. These are families and loved ones that lost almost everything during that tragic day.We still grieve & are affected DAILY in NYC.
