You may select more than one option on the poll.
My kids are grown, but I applied the rod of correction when needed. (Switches and belts, and palm of hand)
When they were toddlers, I gave them a couple of swats during their fits to get their attention.
I did not use other forms that I have known people to use (bolo paddles, hairbrushes, etc.)
IMO, it works. I never had problems with my kids thinking it was okay for them to hit anyone else, either.
If I got a call from a teacher saying they had misbehaved (VERY RARE) they got a switching when they arrived home. I also signed the paper giving the school permission to paddle. (Never happened)
What are your opinions on corporal punishment , and how old it too old to punish in this manner?
