Hello everyone...I am new on here, but decided to post because I could use some prayer and don't really have any close friends I can ask. Here is my situation....be prepared this could get long cause it's complicated.

I am a registered Dental Hygienist who graduated 2 years ago. I am dating (long-distance) a wonderful guy who is an Aerospace Design Engineer. We believe God is leading us toward marriage and we eagerly are waiting for that day. What isn't clear now is where we're going to live and where we will work. My bf has a great job where he is at in D.C. but he hates it in the area he lives due to the expense of living as well as some other factors. He does not want to stay there and so we have therefore ruled me moving there out. His company has a branch in Mississippi and he loves it there. I recently visited him while he was there on business and I loved it too! We both long to be somewhere that is more rural and less conjested (we both live in big, metropolitan areas). There is one downside to us living there : Since I have only been a hygienist for 2 years, in order to get my license there I would have to retake all of my expensive and very extensive tests. It would be very difficult and extremely time-consuming. Part of my hesitancy in going through all that is I am having a LOT of carpal tunnel pain as well as some shoulder pain. Another reason I'm hesitant is that I've never really had a passion for my career. I enjoy it and know that's what God wanted me to go to shcool for, but I've never had the passion and drive that I was taught I should have for someone in my position. So I'm wondering if God is calling me to do something else. That being said there are MANY pros to us moving there:
1. Drastially cheaper housing and general living expenses
2. He could possibly carpool with a co-worker
3. The company would pay him to return to a local university and get his master's degree and I could go back to school to possibly to get my degree in nursing.
4. We would be close enough to drive to visit my family for holidays
5. It fits our lifestyle PERFECTLY

We have considered my bf moving to where I am but isn't really having much luck finding an Aerospace job where I'm at (Dallas area). Added to all this is the fact that his passion is in the automotive field. His dream is to work for a NASCAR team as an engineer and live in the Charlotte, NC area. It would help him if he had his mechanical enginneering degree...especially if it was a masters. If we lived in Mississippi he could get that and his current employer would pay him to do so. We just don't know what I would do for a job. Here is what I'm considering:
1. Working for an orthodontist or dentist as an assistant (no license required)
2. Working for an insurance company reviewing dental claims
3. Finding a work-from-home job
4. Going back to school to become a nurse (which could be beneficial in the future if we live somewhere where it's hard to find a hygiene job i.e. Charlotte).

We know God has a plan for us, we just can't see what it is and are feeling very frustrated and very helpless and unsure of what to do. Please pray for us that God's will will become clear to us and that we will follow the direction He gives. Part of our frustration comes from rarely getting to see each other and having to settle for seeing each other once every other month. Please pray for strength and patience for both of us.

Sorry this was long and probably confusing. Thanks for reading and thank you for your prayers.

Dear Father -

I pray that Your child will find peace of mind as various options for her future are considered. Thank you, Lord, that you have given her and her boyfriend talents and abilities that allow them to pick and choose careers. I pray that you will help them to clearly see Your hand at work in moving them in the direction You have planned for them. I sense a great deal of anxiety here, and I pray that this child of yours will place these burdens in Your hands, and trust You to bring all things together for her good - and not doubt.

I also pray that you will keep this couple's relationship pure as they consider marriage, and that in the midst of all the worry, they will take the time to really pray fervently. It's a spiritual battle, whenever two of your children embark upon life together, and the evil one would like nothing better than to distract them with concerns that have little to do with building Your kingdom together. He would like nothing better than to jumble their minds, as my sister has mentioned that this is confusing.

Give her peace, Lord, that You've already worked it out, You already have a plan, and that You will most definitely order her steps. Help her just to trust.

In Jesus name.

Amen

Lord Jesus, please open the doors for this couple that You desire for them, and close those that will not be wise for them. We ask You to guide their choices as they seek Your will and agreement with each other.

Amen

Precious Lord,
We ask that you give courage & strength to this couple.
We ask that you lead them to the location they are meant to be.
We ask that you keep them ever closer to you.
We ask that you give them wisdom, peace & knowledge of these issues they face.
We ask that you wrap your loving arms about them.
We ask all these things in Jesus Name, Amen

Connie Lou

Thank you SO much! If I ever doubted the power of prayer, I sure don't now! By 9am this morning (I noticed everyone prayed before this!) some of your (our) prayers were answered! Let me share what happend! My boyfriend ran into the CEO of his company while getting coffee this morning and (long story short) the company is bascially offering to pay for me to get my dental hygiene license in Mississippi AS WELL as pay both of our moving expenses! There's more, but I won't go into detail. I just can't thank you guys enough! We have been praying ourselves for some direction and some clear guidance and we feel lie now we have it! We appreciate your prayers SO much! God is SO awesome!!!

Thank you again so much! While there are things still to be worked out, we finally feel that God has given us direction. Does anyone else go through times where you pray and pray and it just seems like God is silent and isn't working?? That's what we had been feeling. We were trying so hard to trust in Him and in His perfect will and timing, but we oftentimes felt like we were doing a horrible job. All we were waiting on was some direction from God as to what we were supposed to do. We hadn't even gotten engaged yet because we felt that with everything else being so uncertain, it just wasn't the time. I can't even begin to describe how blown away I was yesterday, and still am today at how He worked. I know that in a way, I shouldn't be, cause afterall, it's God we're talking about here. But still, I am. I fully believe that your prayers helped! I mean, all the prayers were posted before 8 am and my boyfriend found out all stuff at work in between 8-8:30 am. I have felt such peace and felt like such a burden has been lifted off my shoulders, and my bf feels the same way! This is such a wonderful site and ministry opportunity! Thank you again so much!!

Btw, we are tentatively looking at getting married in March 09...hopefully an official engagement will happen soon!!
