One word within a prophetic teaching can make or break our ability to determine the truth or identify a sign.

When we study Daniel's 70 weeks the signs are researched and the years are calculated, but the 'weeks' are left unresolved, as they seem to baffle the mind and challenge our understanding.

And, yet, the word 'weeks' is the only common thread found woven throughout these particular prophetic scriptures.

Thus, the 'weeks' appear to be more than a term used for establishing a specific number of years, but also gives the impression of being a unique usage of terminology with a sole purpose, which seems vital in identifying the signs that were given unto Daniel and his people.

One such sign is "the Messiah the Prince" which has been identified or interpreted by the Christian community in several ways: the birth of Christ, the baptism of Christ in the river Jordan, the day Christ stood in the synagogue and quoted Isa. 61:1-2, or the Triumphant Entry of Christ.

There are 62 weeks appointed to the fulfillment of "the Messiah the Prince" and, as you see, we remain divided as to which event depicts and defines this sign.

Apparently, more is required than just understanding a certain number of years, or relying upon an ability to spiritually discern a sign. While both are important, they have failed to provide us with the evidence needed to accurately identify either the event or the sign.

However, when we put the 'weeks' back into the equation, we see beyond our theories and assumptions; and, we discover the facts that reveal unto us, the truth.

Looked at the info at the link you provided, JMHO but I think there's another explanation for the sixty nine weeks of Dan9:25-26 that fits a little better.
Dan 9:25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
Dan 9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

These verses tell us there are 69 weeks from the time the restoration order was given until the Messiah is cutoff. They also tell us these weeks start "from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem". There were four restoration orders given so which of the four is the one that we should use. Once again the verses above tell us which one of the four. Out of the four restoration orders recorded in the Bible that gave the Jews permission to rebuild Jerusalem only one gave the Jews permission to rebuild Jerusalem and its walls. This restoration order granted by Artaxerxes I gave Nehemia permission to rebuild Jerusalem and its walls was given 444/445BC so this is the order that should be used as our starting point.

69 weeks x 7 = 483 prophetic years(360days) x .9857 = 476 solar years(365.24days).
444 BC + 476 years = 32 AD, the cross right to the year

So we see that the sixty nine weeks of Dan9:25-26 go from the retoration order(444BC) to the crucifixion(32AD) when the Messiah was cutoff

Hi Midwest....There are many prophetic time lines on Daniel's 70 Weeks, yet, they all fail to convert the years into 'weeks'....Which, is the only way to proof a sign accurately...

Thought this following quote might help you understand that it took the commandments of all three kings to fulfill Daniel's first 7 weeks or 49 years..

The identity of these three kings and their involvement in the restoration of Jerusalem is confirmed in Ezra.

“And the elders of the Jews builded, and they prospered through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo. And they builded, and finished it, according to the commandment of Cyrus, and Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia.”Ezra.6:14

A detailed explanation of the three kings and their commandments are found under 'Things Posted' at the following link..
