Seriously, I really hope no one on this forum tries to rationalize or agree with Rep Hastings' comments. Even IF it was an attempt at humor, anyone with half a brain could tell you that it was a bad one, and should never have been thought, let alone said.
And this just goes to prove why we can not trust liberal Democrats in office.

I heard this over talk radio today. Where is the outcry from the mainstream media? Seems contoversial enough to be a good headline generator. Why do some people seem to get away with this stuff.

If the quote is true (I say 'if' because an internet search turns up only one real news source, Fox News) then:
The comments should be condemned it as irresponsible and divisive.
Given the tragic history of black people and jews in this country, and their being on the receiving end of violence from whites, mentions of violence will probably have special potency to the black community. And, the use imagery of killing and skinning seems to be an attempt to connect Gov. Palin to the white-on-black violence of a past age.
This seems to be another shameful attempt to use racially charged language to create an us-versus-them racial divide for policitical gain.
Again, if the quoute is true then this Obama supporter would condemn it and expect a strong apology.

The guy was a judge that was impeached. And, like the voters of Rep. "Cold-cash" Jefferson's district, they are dumb enough to continue to put the dude in office.

Yep, people all over the globe have this same question reggarding some of their politicians...
One thing I'm sure, the Enemy is planting all kinds of evil seeds, confusion poping up all over the place.
We do not fight against flesh and blood and I borrow commentary notes in Mt 18:7 "Woe":
"18:7-14 Considering the cunning and malice of Satan, and the weakness and depravity of men's hearts, it is not possible but that there should be offences. God permits them for wise and holy ends, that those who are sincere, and those who are not, may be made known. Being told before, that there will be seducers, tempters, persecutors, and bad examples, let us stand on our guard."
There are many "woe" warnings in the Bible, people are behaving pretty much inconsequent with their words all over the place and among all camps of many issues and affiliations. But becauseis elections and politics many feel free to open the door of the mouths and shooting whatever they may feel. Now, the situation is when inconsequent nonsense talk and shallow minded ignorant is on play or if do come from the individual's heart. The heart is God's business to read and to know.
