Father God,
There's several cities of the US that are being heavily impacted by economic conditions created by some of us, and impacting all of us greatly now. Things that likely have done so through this entire year. As is the case, it seems there's only bad news worth reporting to the country by our media sources, and then any extra energy left is spent being critical of it. My heart ached for Detroit today, Father, hearing how domestic auto manufacturer's profits are falling, and worse. And the dollar figures mentioned make the amounts involved in the cause of this pale in comparison.
Lord, I pray that You help those citizens of Detroit who work the assembly lines to provide for their family, that they find some sustaining measure of peace in Your love for them and their situations they face daily.

As a citizen of Detroit, I thank you for this prayer. It is much needed!
Dear Lord,
Please watch over the citizens of Detroit and the surrounding areas as we struggle to deal with this economic down-turn. May the auto industry be able to make a turn-around and become profitable again. May those who lost their jobs find new ones. May those who are still working in the auto industry be able to keep their jobs. May the over-all economy of the US become stronger so people all over the country will be able to buy cars again!

Father, I am praying in agreement for Detroit and other areas where families are suffering and fearful because of lost jobs and the economy.
Lord, you know what these families need, and I pray that in Your perfect will , You will provide it.

Father God,
I pray You continue to work in a mighty way to help calm the citizens of Detroit, that they realize the team effort of everyone coming together toward recovery and survival during this time of recession. Help all realize that each can be an important part in this, Lord. Be with the peacekeepers of the city, with the community outreach organizations, and with all who seek good for others as well as themselves.
