Hi ladies,

I am a pastor and am trying to form statistical information on the topic in question. By answering you will be providing a great service to the kingdom.
If your husband did change after you got married, please explain in what way did he change?

Moving this from Women Only (where only women can post) to She Says (where men ask a question and women respond).

HI Jam, nope
It was a WYSIWYG relationship. We were both old enough to understand that noone benefits from playing pretend games while dating.

No, but some of his behaviors "hit home" more once we were married and living together than they did while we were dating - you know, experiential knowledge vs. intellectual knowledge.

Mine did not change (and that's a good thing). He's a very consistent guy.

HI Pastor:

Writing a book? A thesis? Anyhow my husband certainly did change after we were married. He was more helpful than I'd known - i.e. he'd jump up and do dishes, vacuum etc., but maybe I just didn't know all the good things about him before . He is probably more spontaneous - this I think is something that comes with being comfortable in a relationship.

He is definitely a little pudgier - all the more to love.

Everyone changes some over time. It's impossible not to as we grow and we mature, and gain new experiences. But, hopefully, those changes are for the better!

They definitely were for my husband. In many ways he hasn't changed at all. He is still the same wonderful man I married 27 years ago. But, there is a deeper level to all those qualities that has added a new dimension to our relationship as time has gone by. He has also become so confident and certain in areas he was still working on when we got married, and has a level of dedication to God that wasn't quite as intense when he was 22.

Note that the OP asks if he changed RIGHT AFTER you got married, not over time.

Well that's what the thread title says, but not the paragraph...that's what I was going by.

Most of my husband's changes were for the better. He got a full time job a few weeks after we got married and worked hard to provide for us while going to school full time. In fact, I dídn't work for the first few months we were married because he worked so hard to let me just go to school. I finally got a job because I was bored without him He's grown a lot, spiritually, too, and decided to go to seminary after finishing undergrad. When we started dating, he had only been a Christian for about a year, but he changed a lot from am imature "kid" to a responsible and Godly husband very quickly.

Physically... well, he gained over 100 pounds in the first 5 years we were married and that scared me a lot. I worry about his health all the time. If I weren't concerned that the weight is going to give him a heart attack before he turns 30, it wouldn't be an issue, but I do worry about him since he gained so much so quickly. But if that's my only complaint, and his personality, spirituality, responsibility, etc. have all improved, then I don't have much to complain about and I do have plenty to be thankful for

My husband absolutely changed once we got married. When he was single he could do and go wherever he wanted without telling anyone. He could work late, go away for the weekend or hang out with friends. He didn't have the responsibilities of a family so he spent more money. He ate out a lot and travelled all the time.
Once he got married, he changed immediately on his own. His priorities changed from single to married and I love him for that.

Can I ask how this information is providing a great service to the kingdom?
