Just out of curiosity, when you are at church or at a Bible study, do you hear any teaching about political issues, the kind of political philosophy Christians should have, or the need for Christians to be involved with politics? At my church, there is no discussion of such topics.

Sometimes during the question and answer time (at the end of each sermon) there will be some political questions. I keep my answers within the guidelines for a non-profit 501(C)3 church and do not endorse anyone.

A couple of weeks ago someone ask about the political candidates and thier view on abortion; I referred them to the candidates web sites to see who was for destroying innocent life and who was against it. And told the folks to vote their conscience on the subject.

Thanks
RC

Last Sunday our Pastor did a great job of teaching on the Biblical view of character and personal responsibility; including how it applied to the presidential candidates and the American citizenry as a whole. He used a large number of Old and New Testament verses to back up his points, so it seemed very Biblically based. He did not, nor has he ever, endorsed any candidate or political organization.

We as believers need to apply Biblical principles to our daily lives whether public or private. So, it would seem, the church would be the appropriate place to discuss and study these principles.
