If you dish it out here on the threads and in real life, can you take it?

Or do you dish and expect not to receive it back?

Just curious what your thoughts are regarding this.

We've had threads on victims and justice and this wouldn't have been appropriate to either thread's opening statements.

Love to dish it out!

Can I take it? Sure! But I really don't see the point in others disrespecting me.

Wouldn't that be a retaliatory response because they felt you disrespected first?

Disrespect is not warranted. But it is very pansy to dish it out and when another gives it back, (I'm not saying in a disrespectful way) they get reported.

I would think us being grown ups could act like grown ups. If one can't take the heat, I guess they better get out of the kitchen

Absolutely dish it out on the regular and absolutely can take it.

My job makes sure I have the thick skin, cynicism, and sarcasm needed for nearly any and all situations. From dealing with the worst of the worst, to murder scenes, child abuse, inmate/jail drama, etc..

Those who don't probably should post elsewhere

I can dish it out because I know I'm right

I can take it because I'm pretty sure you're wrong (if you disagree with me)

I saw a t-shirt last night - I'm not bossy, I just have better ideas. Made me smile because that sure sounds like me!!

I see that a lot, and when they find out they are wrong they don't just get mad, they get even.

Being wrong must be painful

It takes much more courage to not dish it out, than it does to dish it out. To take it and not respond in like, is the true mark of one who is not only compelled by the Holy Spirit but also constrained by Him.

Peace

I can dish it quite nicely when the opportunity presents itself.

I'm just a big whiny baby when it comes to taking it.

I don't like to and will usually take my Barbie's and go home.

Now URF, don't come in here being reasonable. Some of us just can't take that!

What a part about the repartee makes you pack up and go home?

I can dish it out...Although lately, I find that people are way too fickle and are easily offended. Sometimes posting a "LOL" ... brings out the anger in folks. I can take it too. Being in the military and having drill sargeants berate in your face...this is a cake walk. LOL! At least I don't have to be called some ungodly name and force to do push-ups...

I think it's best to remember you are posting and reading to a person you've never met, you can always log off... We are to be courteous and fun loving not and yes thick-skinned...When it's all said and done, you won't have to see or hear that person. If you're wrong...take it as a blessing!! It's a blessing to have blinders taken off!! You can see more clearly. So even when I'm wrong, I'm still blest because Abba Yah has allowed my error to be exposed and truth to enter in!!

When someone CAN rebuke me I am sure....they will. Being right all the time makes a poor target.
