My daughter Alicia has her divorce and custody hearing on 11/4. Ed, her ex, was abusive and also abused drugs and alcohol. We have tried during the separation to keep things civil and make sure he had time with his daughter but always supervised by his parents or other family members. He has said he will sign the divorce papers pre-trial if we drop the supervision and give him 2 Sundays and 2 Wednesdays a month as part of the visitation (currently he has 1 Sunday and 1 Wed) but a total of 8 visitation days and/or nights per month. This is to keep Erin out of church, no doubt about it. Signing pre-trial with no ugly accusations or fighting would be nice but Alicia says and I agree that having Erin in church is more important than that. Pray that God will give her wisdom and strength and the courage to do what He wants her to do.

Father, Thank you that we can come to you about this matter. We ask that you cause this divorce and custody hearing to go smoothly and to result in an outcome that will be safe for Ed's daughter while providing what will be best for all involved. Please intervene in Ed's life so that he will come out of drug usage and will come into a beautiful relationship with you, living a future that will be filled with you. Bless his daughter and provide her with a wonderful future. Bless Alicia, causing the outcome of this divorce and custody hearing to be the best possible for her. We thank you for all that you will do and ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Thank you for your prayers. Yesterday's meeting with the attorney went well. My daughter is doing well under the circumstances. Please continue to lift us up in prayer!

The hearing is today at 2:30 please continue to be in prayer for all involved and mostly that the judge will have wisdom and that we will not only have custody of Erin but that we will be able to have her to take her to church and that visitation will not interfere with that.
