I read that women cry on average 5 times a month. I never cry. I mean the last time I recall crying was about two years ago. Do you cry?

I use to cry a lot, but I don't cry that often anymore. Seriously, once I started taking birth control it messed me up all around and I just don't cry hardly at all. I am off of it now, but still it takes a lot for me to cry. I feel like I am not as soft as I use to be...I miss the old me well some of the old me.

I don't think I ever cried until my early 20s. Even then, there are really only two things that make me cry: my job and wanting a baby (before I got pregnant). Oh, and reading the latest Harry Potter book while sleep deprived because I stood in line at midnight and then read until 10 am Other than that, I don't cry much at all.

Not so much anymore. I used to cry all the time, and it was major fall-apart every time.

I cried the other day watching Bella, but that was the first time in a long time. For me, I realized at some point that the kind of crying I was doing was just wallowing around in self-pity, and somewhat manipulative, since it always left dh feeling like a no-good rotten jerk if I cried during a disagreement.

I used to cry very easily but I have noticed not so much anymore.
Now it takes my kids doing something to make me cry. Like for example when my 6 year old little man stood up in home school coop and prayed when they asked for someone to pray.

No, I don't cry very often at all. I've always thought I was weird. But I'm just not an emotional person. I can't even remember the last time I cried, and it's most certainly not anywhere near 5 times per month, LOL!

I remember in 8th grade I moved away from my hometown, away from all my friends. On the last day of school, all my little girlfriends gathered around me and sobbed and boo-hooed. Even though I was devastated, I couldn't cry a drop and I felt like an idiot.

There are a some things that will make me cry, though. Growing up, any time I'd have a disagreeable discussion with my parents I'd cry, and if my husband and I fight I will cry (which is extremely rare now, but wasn't early in our marriage when we were much younger). But not always. Just when it's particularly heated and I'm frustrated.

A few tears welled up when I first saw my son. I don't remember if I cried or not when my daughter was born. Is that awful?!

I don't cry very much. Sappy movies and weddings make me cry. Funerals do too......sometimes. Fights with my husband don't, but they surely do make him cry......which I don't really understand. Actually, overall I think my husband cries more than me.

I notice I cry over things when I haven't gotten enough sleep the night before. Last week, I cried driving home, over some issues that happened at work, and I noticed that I hardly slept the night before. I was physically exhausted and it really affected my emotions and my ability to cope.
I also cry and feel for others that are in distress, especially if they start crying. I definately mourn with those that mourn.

I guess I'm the strange one. lol

I don't think I cry 5x/month though. But I do cry. I've never known anyone who doesn't cry... even my husband cries once in a while. *shrugs*

I hardly cried growing up. I didn't even cry all that much when my Grandpa died even though I was heartbroken.

Since getting married I cry a lot more. During our first year of marriage, one look or angry word from dh could leave me crying for quite a while. I cried multiple times a day when I was pregnant with my son, but not nearly as much during my current pregnancy. Now I don't let fights with dh affect me outwardly as much, as my tears always seem to make him angrier (or maybe that's just how he shows he's upset with himself for making me cry).

I don't think I do either. Sometimes it's more, sometimes it's less. And the reasons vary considerably. I know that I cry if I am in a situation where I need to talk to someone about something, but I'm not sure who to talk to about it, so it's more frustration than anything.

I think if you start getting stressed out about whether you don't cry enough, or cry too much it's going to cause you problems. Some people will laugh more than others ~ it doesn't matter.

Wouldn't it be a boring world if we all cried about the same thing and all laughed about the same thing?

I probably cry close to 5 times a month. I don't always like to do it around other people though.

My mom is not a cryer.
My DD1 is not one either.

DD2 and DS and my dad are criers.

I've noticed I don't like crying in front of my parents if I can help it: because my mom's not a crier and if I were to be crying it would probably make my dad cry and I don't like making my daddy cry.

I never cried before DH was deployed. Actually, I never cried until he got home and then I became a big softy. Becoming a mom has also made me more sensitive... Things related to the military or child loss will always make me cry. But things like frustration, anger, or hurt rarely do unless they are related to certain things.

Think I cried twice from age 11-20, after that I cried more often and the past two years I cry fairly often (anywhere from a couple times a day to a couple a month). That's mostly because of really awful stress though.
I don't cry for any of the 'sappy' stuff, weddings/sad stories/movies. Sometimes my eyes'll get wet if I'm reading about some atrocities of war but no real tears. I do however cry if I get really angry for some odd reason. Crying gives me the worst headache ever (well, other than a migraine).

I think I mostly cry from frustration, like when I'm really tired or stressed and hungry or something.

I rarely cry from being hurt by people, but I do cry from deep hurts.

I always feel better and more calm after a cry. Thank goodness crying does not anger my husband!

I almost never cry.

That being said, I've cried more times this week than I have combined in the past three years.

Strangely enough, the baby will go to sleep if I'm sobbing. Weird huh?

I hate crying. I feel out of control. And weak.

I never used to cry. I HATED it! I think growing up I thought it showed I was weak or something. Nobody ever told me that. But, I was also not one for showing my emotions either.

As I grow older, I do cry more often. I cried a lot when God was doing some major healing in my life and also during the transitions of my relationship with Ray and in moving to Nebraska. I feel like I'm beyond that most days now. But I'm still a lot more likely to cry now then I was before 5 or 6 years ago.

I still prefer to cry alone though. I also still don't like to show others my emotions (at least deep ones). Things change when I feel safe though, like I do around my husband.

I'd have to say rarely- like every couple of months. I mostly cry when I'm frustrated. I do get choked up fairly easily though.

I don't cry very often but do get teary eyed when someone is mad at me,and if I am yelled at cry easily.I also cry when God really touches my heart. I am pretty much a tough cookie though and it takes alot to make me cry.

Wow! Guess I'm not average then! I cry when I'm happy, sad, mad, broken-hearted, when

God has touched me, when I see God touch others, I cry actually quite often! I am really tender-

hearted though, guess that could be why I cry so much!

I usually have one good cry a month, but tears tend to flow easily - especially if I'm reading or hearing about an emotional story, even the slightest thing! during PMS time and if I'm laughing too hard, haha.
