I had no idea where to put this so I decided to stick it here and let the mods move it... at least some people will see it. It is my cousin's art. I am proud of him. He had was a commercial artist doing mostly "gift cards" but now he is retired from that and does sporting and outdoor art. I think he is really good.

Not my cup of tea, but that doesn't mean a thing.

What's really important is whether or not he gets satisfaction from his work. And t seems as though he does.

I truly believe the creative process can bring someone closer to God, much like Prayer.

Do you have a creative outlet Julien?

Peace

Yes, I play electric guitar. I love it.
I also write a little but I have not developed it. I need to, I feel like I want to but have never done it an really don't know how. I have some ideas but don't know how to organize them on paper.

Thanks for asking.

Julien

Great stuff; reminds me a bit of the work of an artist I studied with up north here in Minnesota, Russell Norberg.

First class artwork, and I absolutely love the subjects.

Thanks

Oh, I like this! When you said outdoor art I thought you were talking about those outrageous sculptures that cities spend your tax dollars on and stand them on Main Street.

Right on with the guitar, I wish I had the gift of music. That's great that you write, I'm in the same sort of situation as for my writing. I have a slew of great ideas, and tons of material from my traveling days. Right now everything is more or less written in a journal format, which I would love to turn into something more.

If you have the time, you may want to look into taking creative writing class at your local collage. Can't hurt.
Anyways, Best of luck Julian.

lol.... that's what I thought as well when I read the title of the OP. I agree with you wholeheartedly, most of that is complete garbage IMHO.

Try and follow the money trail of some of these public "art" pieces. In many cases you'll find that they are created by a relative or friend on a council member, or other local politician. At least that's what I found when they installed pieces in our town.

Cheers,
