No

One meal won't do much damage and if you work out on a regular basis even better. If you have lots of leftovers just be disciplined and don't over do it day after day or just cook enough for that day so no major leftovers. Take leftovers to coworkers to share, friends that weren't at the dinner. Theres lots of ways to get rid of extra so it doesn't end up in your belly for the next week and then on the hips for the next six months.

It's not what we eat between Thanksgiving and New Years that makes us fat.

Nah. I "plan" to enjoy those meals by eating sensibly the rest of the time. We don't go to tons of parties anyway, so it really is a treat. I'm only making one batch of cookies this year, my gramma's recipe, so that's not going to be a problem. And at those meals I eat more of the lean meats and veggies and still enjoy a small piece of dessert or whatever it is. So no, I'm not worried about it!

Plus having a nursing baby helps too!

Not this year. I don't plan on going overboard like usual. I will have one serving of everything I like, and one slice of dessert, then right back on program. I'm planning on looking at it as one meal off on those special days, not a whole day or season long license to eat whatever I want.

I'm also not doing any holiday baking that isn't designated to go someplace...no goodies just to have around the house. So nope, I'm not worried about it...THIS year!

I don't worry about it, it just happens, maybe about 5 lbs or so.

Nope. Like others, I try to limit the celebrating to one or two days and not use the season as an excuse to eat more for weeks or months on end. I also do my best to maintain my activity level.
