I had been taking the test for 37 years, and on a day in February of 1997, I passed.

I prefer 'opportunities to trust ever closer to His obedience'.(I know that sounds like I'm pretty 'spiritual' but I have lots o' time on my hands!) If that comes in the form of 'tests' and opportunities to grow personally in trial I'm up to His Task! I anticipate a Challenge, His next one.
Romans 9:18-"So then, He has mercy on whom He desires and He hardens whom He desires based on our response to circumstance 19 yet we still whine when our circumstance isn’t what we think we deserve for disobedience; our own, on another’s part or just life experience, can be uncomfortable when we resist His will. 20 It’s selfish to assume life experience will proceed in our limited imagination 21 for a creator molds vessels designed for a specific use. 22 Some are designed to show even the Glory of God, some to be used and used up, to illuminate and make His Glory known in endurance with patience in wrath prepared for destruction. 23 He does so and makes the riches of His Glory vessels of His obedience which He prepared in advance for that very purpose."

Oh yeah! He sure does!
Sometimes I get frustrated and feel like hiding under a rock. Then, when I'm done with my pathetic little self-induced pity party, I dry my tears and ask Him ever so meekly to please help me because I'm clearly not getting it.

I believe life here and now in this world is a test in itself. We are tested daily in our walk. We are given choices to either live for God, or live for ourselves/the world. Usually the answers are pretty plain and simple, especially when we are in tune with God and walking with Him daily. But there are those times when it so difficult to see because our fleshly desires hinder us from walking in that straight and narrow path. The test then is to see if we will continue to cling on to our Lord and have faith in His promise that He will never forsake us, or will we run away from Him because we fail to see that He is still with us, and is in control due to pride and unbelief. I think that our good Lord allows us to fail at times to remind us of His goodness, grace and mercy.

So, yes, God tests us. And, yes, we've passed the ultimate test, for righteousness, if we are in Christ.

He tests me daily and I am so thankful.
Years ago I would fly off the handle over anything.
Now I see that there are things that are a test and I stand up to it.
I have released anger because it held me back.
I give praise to my Father God for letting me pass those tests of patience.
Where would I be without those tests?
Not on this board or any other one.
But by the grace of God I am and I give thanks daily for it!
Every time I fail I am reminded of His goodness!
