First of all is this from a 3rd party? Or you've seen it yourself? If its heresay, I don't think I'd say much not knowing the real circumstances. And it could be "mistaken identity". There have been times where a man is seen having lunch or dinner with a woman not his wife........turns out to be a sister or similar.

So if you don't know for sure if there is cheating, its best not to spread gossip. I'm not sure if you should say something to the man first or his wife. Maybe his wife is aware of it and doesn't care.

this sounds like a gossip.
so I would #1 keep it to myself, and then go to my friend and have a little discussion and confront him.

if it wasn't true, and a gossip like this got back to his wife, it could be very harmful.

I'd take the source of the gossip to go meet the alleged cheater and the three of us would talk. That kills several problems with one stone. If the guy actually is cheating, I'd probably tell him that if he didn't tell his wife in the next 48 hours, we would. She needs to know if she's at risk for STDs and needs to plan how to run the rest of her life.

If the gossip doesn't have the truth, they should be publically vilified for potentially wrecking a marriage for the thrill of it.

The first thing to do is pray, not run and spread this
type of news to others.

If you are talking about catching someone in
adultery then speak with the person about the matter
and encourage him/her to seek help/counseling.
Encourage the adulterer to flee from sin and most certainly -
continue praying for that person and their marriage!

i agree ... STDs can kill ... internet forums are littered with betrayed spouses who have received life-altering STDs from their wayward spouse ...
