I could really use some prayers, right now. This time, its serious. My wife and I botched our finances and we've fallen behind on the bills, this month, including the house. My wife is the one in charge of handling the bills and she made the mistake of going back to using the cash advance feature at our bank (something I've warned her about doing) and becoming dependent on it. This is my fault, too, though because I haven't been doing my part of helping to watch over this situation. She was trying to hide the problem from me to hope it would get better, but it hasn't. I was playing stupid and not helping like I should've been.

Fortunately, we've caught this early enough, and should be able to get handle on things, but God's help (as always) is going to be necessary so we can make the best of it. Please pray that God will help us work this out without too many consequences, and may He make us more responsible and thrifty with our money. And, in the name of Jesus Christ, thank God for the fact that we caught this early and not before we started REALLY encountering problems.

Praying for your situation, and that you will both be focussed on resolving it. Praying too that any companies to whom you owe money will be gracious to you and want to help you sort things out.

Praying for you now. Also, talk with the companies, if they know up front they usually will work with you.

For the record, we've already spoken to the companies. One WON'T work with us (its the hospital, and its a long story how that got messed up... frankly, I'm more mad at them), but I think the mortgage place probably will. We're behind, but its only in those two areas. We have our other bills covered, and it was only this one month where we missed the mortgage payment. Fortunately, we caught it now (we sent a payment in, it got reversed, we're already on top of it and have been in contact with the bank). If nothing else, I might be able to contact my dad for a loan. We'll see what happens.

Typically hospitals are the worst and I don't understand that but at least in some areas I've seen hospitals literally be the ones that drive a family into bankruptcy. It is sad that a place that is supposed to care for us physically has no concern for us as humans.

You will continue to be in our prayers!

The hospital bill is only $750 (no, I don't mind mentioning this), but they want it all NOW because we defaulted on it. Sucks, but that's the way it goes. Like I said, we're not that far under water. I just need some prayers and God's help so we can get back on top. Its our own fault we did this, and now we'll just get above it.

Like I said, other bills are all getting paid, and I'm sure the mortgage company will work with us. Something tells me, with the way the economy is going, the last thing they want is to be stuck with yet another house.
