I use those fitted sheets that have elastic almost all the way around except for a small area on each end. I must toss and turn a lot because one side of the sheet works its way up the side of the mattress and the sheet bunches up in the middle of the bed. Sometimes the top corner of the sheet comes off the mattress. I tried getting those "sheet belts" - the little elastic straps that have fasteners you connect underneath the mattress - but they don't work. Does anyone have suggestions for keeping the sheet in place? Thanks.

You don't have to answer this, but how often do you wash them? I find that the less time it's been since I've changed the sheets, the more likely they are to stay tucked in.

I agree. You may also simply want to make your bed every day (if you don't) and straighten the bottom sheet (smoothing and tucking the fitted sheet in as you go). It doesn't take long, and there's always something lovely getting into a bed that's been made, even if the sheets aren't freshly clean.

This happens to me, too, even with deep pocket sheets. It does get worse if the sheets have been on for a few days and have lost their crispness, but I have woken up with the corner pulled up even on freshly changed sheets. It's much better now than it used to be, the deep pocket sheets do help, as does making and straightening the bed and re-tucking the sheets every day. But sometimes, no matter what, I still pull the sheet up. Never happens to my husband, I guess I am just a rough sleeper.

Another solution is not to use fitted sheets but buy all flat sheets with the ones for the bottom being a larger size. Then fold under the matress...grab the top two corners and tie in the middle under the matress. Do the same at the foot of the bed. This is how we made them in the hospital and they never come off.

I hope that makes sense...it would be much easier to demonstate than type instructions.
