Does anyone have an inspirational verse i can give to a Christian friend who has not attended church for a very long time? i know that she misses church, but seems not to have the strength to come. she lost faith in her old church when a new vicar came, and hasn't really tried to find another one since. I feel that she would enjoy the church i go to, same denominations and all that, but she keeps finding excuses. she asks me to pray for her family about things, and i keep 'suggesting' that she would feel bettter for coming to church to be with fellow Christians who can all pray for her, but i do not seem to be getting anywhere. I know that she will come if it is God's will, but i just feel so sad in my heart for her pain at the moment and want to help her. any advice/help would be greatly appreciated.

You could try guiding her to 1 Corinthians 12, especially verses 12-27. It might help show her that she has a special part to play in God's plan.

My understanding of the Scriptures is that when someone is not in good health, then the church is to come to her. Why can't you and she congregate together and you can then ask her if it would be all right for you to invite others. In this way you make her part of the community. In my opinion, it is the community that is important to Adonai and not a "church" building or organization.

Hello, Remember the church is the body and not the building. Sometimes we get caught up in going and coming all the time missing the mark. I speak from experience. Yet I do go but never am I putting totally faith in the building. The worst thing for many is to think that going is the answer and not living it. I doesn't match at all. My advice would be to pray for her that she is a true believer and has the desire to be faithful. Maybe one day she will get the will to attend service but if she doesn't...don't write her off but keep her close and just visiting her will help as well....remember "YOU" are the church and not the building
