walking out of my job on Thursday. For about 3 months one of my coworkers has been needling me. She is my lunch and bathroom break relief. We get paid for our lunches, so I don't punch out, well she has been coming out 5-10 minutes late on a regular basis. I have complained but I have no proof and it was driving me nuts, so I started taking my 30 minutes anyway. She then complained that I was coming back "late". It became a big deal between our bosses since we do not have the same boss. *Weird, I know* Anyway, on Thursday she, I'll call her "B", called me at home to tell me that two teachers were not coming in and that I needed to find subs because the person who normally does that was not coming in. While I was on the phone the Registrar who finds subs called to tell me that she had called all the available subs and none could come in. Meanwhile, I am rushing around the house getting 3 kids ready to run out the door so I could get to work asap. I managed to get everyone in the car in 5 minutes (wet hair of mine in a ponytail) and rush them to their schools. While driving B called to ask what I had done to get subs, I told that I had talked to H and that no subs were available, I was in the car and would be there in 10-20 minutes. While driving I realized that one teacher was avaible to cover the class that had a homeroom, so I called and asked to speak to her. B said the teacher L was busy. (Does that make any sense to any of you?) I said I really need to talk to her, so I was put on hold. Now, I did not say B I have to talk to L to see if she can cover a class, etc but was not thinking about it. Anyway, B picks up the phone and says have you covered any of the classes. I said no. A couple of minutes later her boss picks up and snaps "What are you doing to cover these classes and WHY AREN'T YOU TELLING B WHAT IS GOING ON?" I replied that I was doing the best I could and was holding for L to see if she could cover the homeroom which would buy me 30 minutes to fill the rest of the day. She said well you need to tell B that, she is the one here. OK, I almost lost it. If she was there and they felt that way, why call me at home. I was doing the best I could. I have no phone numbers for subs at home, and am new to this part of my job. This is only the second time I have been asked to do this and was just given the information last week. Things got worse, partially because I was furious. When I went in B would not move from my desk and she asked me why I was upset. I said I am not dealing with this now, you need to move and let me do my job. She said why are you so mad. I said not now B, we'll deal with it later when the classes are covered. Again, I know my tone was not nice but I was ticked. She again said, I wish I could understand why you are mad. I said because you lied to your boss and got me yell at, get away from my desk so I can get the subs. Not good because really I do not know what she said to her boss. Anyway, 2 minutes later after being told by two out of three teachers that they could not cover the class her boss walks up and snaps at me, we are going to talk later and I AM NOT HAPPY WITH YOU. I snapped. I looked at B who had came out and said you can cover the phone, to her boss I said I am going to talk to you now. So down the hall to her office we went. She proceeded to tell me that I was a liar and was withholding information that B needed to do her job and that H should never have called me at home to tell me about the subs. To which I replied that B called my home first and it is on my caller ID. She said that that was not true and that I was causing problems with the team. She said that I was late coming in, which I told her that my hours are 8:15 to 4:15 and she said well it is 8:15 what are you doing now? To which I said I am done. I walked to my desk got my purse and keys clocked out and gave the principal my id and door key. I still cannot figure out, other than my getting so angry, what I did wrong. I cannot figure out why I was called at home by either of these ladies to do something that clearly I could not do at home. Why did they expect me to do this if they felt B could do it from the office? Why did they fault me for H calling me at home, how could I prevent that?

Go to the union representative and get the hierarchy involved; that's what they're for. Document everything and go to war, because they're going to war on you. Get your ducks in a row, and trust the God of justice to do His job, too. Get your temper under control because losing it makes others think they have control of you. You stand before the face of God ("corum deo" in Latin) so do the right thing. God gives countries judges because He is concerned about right behavior; it's legitimate to protect your good name, too. God bless, dear one, and let us know how it goes.

Get your proof and show them the record of the calls to your phone from the phone company - that way you can show that B called your home and that proves she's lying about not calling... it's silly that she'd say she didn't call when the phone call can be traced!
