Hi: As I have recently entered middle age, I recognize many things. People pass away...friends leave, health decays, finances can be lost, physical possessions do not mean anything, no one is immune from having bad stuff happen... I've known these things for a long time of course, but, as I get older the truth of these facts become more clearer. The question is, how do I, in a practical sense, hold on to Him, recognizing that He is the only thing I can cling to? C

Give of your time and money to the Lord's work. Don't forget giving the Lord time in prayer and devotions by reading the Bible. Though our outer man decays our inner man is renewed day by day. Live by the directions of God daily and you will live a vibrant life of faith and love for God and others.

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. John 10: 27-29

Look back ... Yes ... look back to the time when you first got to know Him. Since then ... has He ever let you down? Be honest now ... has He not been there by your side when things got a bit rough? Has He not seen you through many difficulties and most certainly saved you from many situations - even those you don't even know about? Let your past experiences give you the strength to cling to Him in the future.
