Hello, everybody. I am a homeschooler and am in need of some assistance in English. We have to explain a Bible passage using parallel construction. Galations 5:22-26, Romans 12:1-5, Philippians 4:6 and 7, or John 3:1-8. I just can not seem to get somebody who understands how to parallel structure things like this and teach me. Also, we have to write a paragraph with 15 different pronouns and its case. For example: Pronoun, Antecedent, Person, and its case. Just need some help with understanding this.

who made the assignment and what is the goal of the assignment (what are you supposed to gain from the assignment)?

Can you ask the person who made the assignment to give an example of parallel construction?

Ok,

First suggestion: do a google search on "parallel construction"; you will find some help there.

To start:
This is the link to a quiz giving examples of parallel construction. You can take the quiz and get a feel for what constitutes parallel construction
grammar.ccc.commnet.edu/GRAMMAR/cgi-shl/quiz.pl/parallelism_quiz.htm

THis is the homepage of the website with the quiz above:
http://grammar.ccc.commnet.edu/GRAMMAR/index.htm

The definition (excerpt) below comes from the website:
http://www.rrcc.edu/writing/gex/4.html

What is parallel construction?
Whenever a sentence contains two or more items linked by "and" or "or," those items are parallel and therefore usually need to be expressed in the same grammatical forms (i.e., nouns, verbs, infinitives, gerunds, adjectives, etc.).
• Faulty parallel construction:

To write well and listening well are important communication skills.

Correct parallel construction:

Writing well and listening well are important communication skills.
or
To write well and to listen well are important communication skills.

.
.
.

I think that what is asked is that you read the passage, determine which things discussed should have equal weight, then summarize them in a sentence or paragraph similar to those above.

I'm not exactly sure I understand the second assignment. I can see writing a paragraph using 15 pronouns, but I'm not sure what the rest means. Could you give some more information Re. this assignment?
