Just curious. I love those things, especially when the kids need a snack before bed, or for lunch. It's even been dinner on occasion. I can't stand the ones you heat up in the cup though (reminds me of living in the dorms). So, how do you eat yours? I love putting in sauteed shrimp, or cutting up cooked chix breast or eckrich sausage, with plenty of crushed red pepper or hot sauce(yummo!). Also, they've just added 'lime shrimp' flavor in my area, the BEST I've tried so far.......

I have never liked Ramen noodles. I always marvelled at the people who really truly seem to like it. Maybe it's an acquired taste?

I love the chicken flavored ones & eat them quite often. Always use a spoon to eat them with.

I haven't had them for a while (for most of the reasons Harvie gave) but I used to throw the flavor packet out...cook the noodles, drain, and stir in butter and parmesan cheese.

We eat them sometimes for lunch. I add a bag of frozen mixed veggies (usually the brocolli, cauliflower, and carrot mix) and some sliced polish sausage to the boiling water and boil until the veggies are soft, and then I add the noodles and cook them. I only put in half the seasoning--it's too salty for my taste.

In college, I would eat them as directed, nothing more, nothing less. Since then, I've used the dry noodles as a salad topping, or drain cooked noodles and add in a different sauce or pesto. Here in Japan, there are many ramen restaurants and different flavors I enjoy. I like how they add in other veggies, and meat, especially green onion and garlic, mmm!!

My husband went to the Ramen museum when he was in Yokohama. There are many, many kinds of ramen. I won't eat American ramen

Oooo I like this topic! Ramen in a cup reminds me too much of dorm life too - I like to eat 'em dry, with the chicken or pork seasoning. BUT my friend makes this incredible cole slaw with regular cole slaw, sunflower seeds, dry ramen noodles and the oriental seasoning and some other stuff and it's completely wonderful.

I cook them for 3 minutes like the package says. I drain all the water out, pour it into a bowl and then put only a dusting of seasoning on. I like the chicken flavor. I eat them up with a fork. It's good every once in awhile and is of course the cheapest most calorie-infused meal out there.

ME, TOO!!! I have them about once a week for lunch. My husband adds mixed veggies to the soup. I've also crunched them and fried/browned them to be a topping on a wilted salad...very yummy

Years ago we lived in Okinawa Japan and loved to eat Yaki soba http://japanesefood.about.com/od/yakisoba/a/aboutyakisoba.htm I use Ramen noodles to make this dish here since Soba noodles are hard to find. I buy the Ramen Nooddles with the oriental spices. I stir fry beef, cabbage, celery, bamboo shoots water chestnuts, carrots and pineapple. I then add the ramen noodles(drained) that I have cooked in boiling water for about 3 minutes without the spices. After the noodles are added to the stirfry, I sprinkle the spices over the meal, adding some soy sauce. Delicious!!
