I was Driving the Bus last night on our way home from Arkansas, and this thought hit me. See what you think. If you could play ONE song for the whole world to hear, what song would it be, why that song, and who would sing it. I would say Because He Lives. The first verse deals with Salvation, the second with assurance in an unsure world, and the last talks about Eternity. I would have Gerald Wolfe sing the first verse, Randy Shelnut and the Second, and Guy Penrod on the Last. I would then have the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir Join them on the chorus. Can you tell I had some time on my Hands. lol! Can't wait to hear your ideas.

I think mine would be "When I Stand In The Presence" of the Lord, was written by Mary & Jerry Trammell many years ago. Eric Phillips has recorded it with the Mark Trammell Trio.

There are so many that I could name. I guess I'll name one that has been particularly on my mind this week, "I Stand Redeemed." I would feature Roger Bennett on the first verse, joined by the Cathedrals on the chorus. Then I'd feature Mark Trammell on the second verse, joined by (his era's) Gold City on the second chorus. Then I'd put both groups together and add Gerald Wolfe singing the melody for the final chorus and big finish.

I'm doing this for you - with none other than Brian Free (no one can sing it like him) The song is just amazing when you meditate on the words. Really touches the heart.

Well it would have to be "The Old Ship Of Zion" sung by The Kingsmen. This song speaks so much and it is an AWESOME song! What a promise to every Christian!

Jerusalem and keep the singing as is. if that song was powerful enough to convince this man he needed to get his life straight, then the whole world should hear it.

I have to agree with tenor sister. The old ship of zion with the Kingsmen singing it. I have saw this song move many people over the years.

Sinner Saved By Grace George Younce on the opening verse, then Guy Penrod, backed by Gaither Vocal Band (Phelps in particular).

"Through the Fire" by The Crabb Family. The Crabb Family and mine did some concerts together and I have such great respect for their family. Mr. Gerald's annointed writing helped my brother through a very low valley experience. I miss ya Crabb Family!
