I have a problem with not wanting to have sex with my husband. It just feels gross (not wrong). I do not like it at all. I feel like I am forcing myself to do it every time (which isn't often). I don't know why people think it is so awesome. I don't know what to do, because I don't want to force myself into something I hate, but I know that marriage requires it. It feels like a duty. I don't get anything out of it, and I don't want to be that physically close to my husband. Is there something wrong with me?

2 questions first:
1. Has something in the past happened that has possibly given you an aversion to sex? (abuse, etc?)
2. Are you on a hormonal birth control? Not wanting to debate with you about birth control at all. But sometimes the hormone suppression can have a detrimental effect on a woman's sex drive, just wondering if this might be the case.

Hi Rachel-
No and No, but I have been diagnosed with OCD- I don't know if this would have anything to do with it or not.

How is the rest of your relationship with your husband? Do you enjoy being with him otherwise?
