These past few years have been troublesome, from the terrible teens to unemployment issues and having to deal with the death of both my Grandmas. I took refuge with Satanism and the Occult, occasionally wandering to the Asatru religion. However these past few days have been a real eye opener, I found God again and I hope he can forgive me for the trouble ive put him through..Ive been a bit of a lost sheep the past 6 years but im ready to see the light again. Im only 24 so I know I have many years to make it up to him, most guys my age are out clubbing and causing trouble, but I seek comfort in solitude and kindness.

You say you "found God again" would you care to enlighten us as to what that means to you?

It means many things, I can finally be free of guilt from the death of both my Grandmas (who were christian themselves) and thus I feel I can be closer to them than I ever was. It also means I can enjoy life without any regrets or fears, as I know that I'll always have God watching over me.

So in saying you found God are you saying you have a born again relationship with Him?

Well if your trying to use "good karma" to offset your "bad karma" your still on a path that is searching out God. The bible says we are saved by grace through faith and not by works lest any man should boast Ephesians 2:8-9.

Hi Robert-J, It is good to hear you've found your way back to God! I don't know how this will help you feel closer to your deceased grandmothers than you ever were while they were alive. You may have a really blessed life from now on and not have regrets or fears, and that would really be something. Knowing that you have found God, I hope you also have found Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit as well. Have you found believers to be in fellowship with, assuming you've left behind quite a few old friends from your wandering past? I don't want you to be confused, and find yourself letting yourself down in self-perceived failure. You are set for it, and left to my own self, you're reading the words of a failure right now. That's right, I'm a Christian preaching you my own failure. So here's the thing I don't want you or anyone to become convinced about... Doing good for one's own self- whether for one's own benefit or for someone else's- for the intent of changing who you are- is certainly a noble thing, an admirable goal. Thinking that it is going to restore a right relationship with God, and gain you 'better person status'- that's something God's explained in His Word doesn't work. Christians can't provide for their own righteousness, for their own pass to eternal life in heaven. It can't be earned, because it is given and accepted or denied. It's not knowing right and wrong, or that some things are not of God and others are, or of choosing to live near good things when things get hard and then going back to the old life once they get easy again. And it's not about a bunch of cliches. So you need more words than these, and is why I asked you about fellowship and a church, because you becoming the best person you can be is about Jesus Christ, dying for all of creation's sins, conquering death and the grave, returning to heaven, being the middleman for Christians with God, and coming back one day to welcome us home with Him. It's not about you, it's about Christ living in you through the Holy Spirit, and then one day perhaps you help an Asatruian(?) realize how lost they are and that the path you've found is the one true, narrow way. Good advice from OneJohn. To "find the path" back to God is to believe in Him and in Jesus, to acknowledge the love God has for us, to freely accept His invitation, and to repent of our sins. It's a long process and you've taken the first steps. Welcome back. Now may I advise you to join a church, and most important a Bible Study Group. Learn from others and share with other Christians. Read, read and read again Christian books. Take it one step at a time. God bless.
