Any tips????? Noah is 18 months old now. He has had these glasses since around 3 months. As soon as he figured out how to get them off, since maybe 7 months old, he won't keep them on for more than a few minutes. He's too young to bribe. Has anyone here had babies with glasses?

ORIGINAL: Kat_D My only suggestion would be one of those tight elastic band things that hook on the ear pieces and fit around the back of his head...have you tried that yet? Our Katie just got glasses...today! She'll be 4 next month. I think we're going to have to end up with the sports band thing...she's just too rough and tumble...

Yes, we've tried two different kinds of bands. He knows how to pull his glasses up over his head. Yesterday, he looked at me, took off the glasses and giggled and ran and threw them in a bush...twice. He is only 18 months old and he knows very well what he's doing!

Okay, that sounds like an act of willful disobedience...how did you discipline him for that?

No, he did not get disciplined for it, he got his way because they are too expensive to loose. I guess all I can do is keep trying.

He obviously knows what he's doing, in which case he's old enough to get punished for it. I agree. I'm sure they are expensive and you don't want to lose them. All the more reason to show him that throwing them around is not allowed and will not be tolerated. You don't want to still be fighting this battle with a 3 year old who is more than able to keep them on, KWIM?
