Many christians say the believe that all things that occur in their lives are being controlled by God, that nothing happens to them outside of the Will of God.

The poll questions below are designed to assist with further thought about this.

I don't believe that everything that happens to me is God's will. I think some of it is just me being stupid and disobeying God. sigh . . . Don't do that. i do that and something bad happens. That's not God's will, that's kim being stupid.

Hi Hellochurch~
Your poll did not alow me to select more than one, however I vote that God's word is 100% true. I also believe His will, will be done.

I'm sure you are familiar with the story of Deborah, God intended for a man to do the task. When the man declined God found someone else that was also able.

I believe everyday we "miss the mark" when God wants us to do something, yet He always finds another servant to do what we did not.

I believe some people perish according to God as He states we all have our appointed time. We do not know when that time is as it is stated, nor man nor angel knows.
I also believe the person who has perished has fulfilled their purpose.

There was a while back an e-mail called Jesus in my heart, the story was about a hardened surgeon which was annoyed by this little boy who was going to die because of the deteriation of his heart disease.

The doctor was annoyed and even frustrated by the young child and parents belief and exclaimed: I am going to cut you open and tell you what I can do to save you and he continued in his rant. All the child repeated was, when you open my heart you will find Jesus there, all the songs and bible says so!
After the surgery and he talked into his dictaphone, he gave his prognosis and treatment for this terminally ill child.

Tears strolled down his face, he shut off his instrument and Yelled fiercely at God, "How can you do this? You created this child? You created his damaged heart, knowing he would die?" He raised his fist in fury at the heavens when the Lord spoke:
My sheep was not meant for your flock.
The doctor became irrate and the Lord again state: My sheep was not meant for your flock .
As the 3rd time approached the Lord again responded and said:
My sheep was not meant for your flock. He will be here with me where he will know no pain and someday will be with his parents again.
He fulfilled My Will and that was to bring the lost sheep home!

Hope this helps with your thoughts

It is the will of God that I learn of the depths of human depravity and the desperateness of the human condition so that I would see His light shinning in the darkness and choose His righteousness. If I had not seen evil for what it is, I would not have come to love Chirst so much. That is man's sinfullness convinces me of the truth and life in Christ. Evil men are frustrated for in their evil the will of God is fulfilled. Now having said that, there is still salvation for those whose evil has been frustrated. Praise God!

I think there is a way to make a poll multiple choice, then you might get better results.

My answer is no, I don't believe God's will is always done. I don't believe sin is God's will and I believe God desires all to be saved.

I think God has certain things He has predestined to happen, and I believe they will happen, however, I do think He allows us to have free will. For instance, if God predestined someone to go talk to a certain group of people and He is convicting a specific person to do it and the person refuses, He will make that guys life miserable until He does it, or will send someone else. But ultimately His will is being done.

1) Is God's Will always done on Earth? Yes

2) If God is not willing that any should perish, have some perished? Yes. (2 Peter3:9) God does not
wish that any should perish. If it was God's Will none should perish, then none would perish. The
translation "not willing" is in the King James. Other translations include ''not wishing'' any should
perish.

3) Is God's Word 100% true? In short...Yes.

4) If God's Word is true, do people perish against God's Will. No....People perish against God's desire,
not against God's Will.

5) Would you agree that this means God's Will is not always done? No

Is God's will always done on the earth?

No, not at this time. He gave us free-will and we don't always do what He wants us to do. If we did, there would be no sin. (We know that there was only one without sin, and that was Jesus Christ.) However at the same time, if God wants something to happen, it will happen, according to His will and His purpose. How can both be true? Because He's God, not us. And He tells us that we can't even understand His thoughts, His ways. We just need to trust in Him. Jesus taught us to pray for His will to be done.

If God is 'not Will- ing that any should perish,' have some perished?

We will all die a physical death of course. I take perish to mean the second death when those who reject Jesus will be cast in the lake of fire, so I would answer no not yet, but they will. God's word says that it is not His will that any should perish.

Is God's word 100% true?

Yes.

If God;s word is true, then people perish against God's will.

By they're own choice, by rejecting the Lord Jesus Christ.

Would you agree that this means that God's will is not always done?

Yes and no. God's will, will ultimately be done. Right now on this earth there is sin, there is satan, there is self-will, but when the Lord comes again and there is a new heaven and a new earth God's perfect will, will be done.
This is to the best of my understanding, however I am not God, nor do I understand all His ways or His purposes. His word tells us that we can't. His ways and thoughts are so far above ours. It also tells us that now we see darkly but one day we will see clearly. We just need to trust in Him, as the little children that we are.
God bless.

Yes Sparkleingsnow, God desires everybody to be saved but there is that pesky free will which stops God dead in His tracks. And everyone has choice. We could have chose Buddha, or Muhammed but we chose Christ. Give us some glory. We made the right choice.

I can't give us some glory, lightbeamrider. All glory belongs to the Lord. We can't even desire to seek Him except that He draws us.

U know Sparkleinsnow, whoever wrote this little quiz is pretty clever. The key to it all is ur final answer. Following ur line of logic God's Will is not always done. There is no yes and no as u indicated. Still, in all the responses before us nobody answered each question with a simple yes or no. No matter ur motive ur final response is absolutely correct. All glory goes to God and according to John 6:44...No one can (has the ability) come to Me unless the Father draws (greek Drags) him.

Since God is Sovereign. God's Will is always done. This means God is able to overcome the so called free will of man.

Thanks lightbeamrider. I'll be the first to admit that I don't know everything. Just that I know the One who does.
