No doubt you know of the BILLIONS of dollars spent by the two major candidates for the office of President, money that could have been put to MUCH better use than it was. Not to mention the fact that with the giving of money will ALWAYS come strings attached.

This just somehow seems a better way of doing it...

seems fair to me! Then take the hundreds upon hundreds of millions of dollars donated to the campaigns and "spread the wealth". One mortgage payment and one tank of gas for each American voter.

At least everyone would have a 50/50 chance.

Instead of being outspent 4 to 1 and out numbered
by biased organizations.

I put the pencil to the 800 billion dollars for the bail-out
[which they now want another 400 billion] and divided
it out among all the "households." Not just the USA,
but the entire globe. That would be a hefty check for
everybody. Especially in the third world countries.

And if you devied it just to the USA, it would be even more.

Say there are 200 million households.
Divide that into 800 thousand million which = 800 billion
That's 4,000 dollars. That would help pay off/catch up on the
failed mortgages. Pay off cars or buy a lot of gas.

As it is, it will be spread around and blown in the "wind."
