I consider myself a very blessed woman, because I have such a wonderful husband. He's a godly man, good-looking, helps with housework, very romantic, and a good provider. Here's the flip side. Is your husband fortunate to have married you? Is his life better now, married to you, then it was when he was single? What is it about you that makes him so lucky? Why is he better off married to you than someone else? Have fun, ladies!

Hey, if it makes people feel good about themselves, so be it! I'll wait for a few people to go first, and then I'll post.

Is your husband fortunate to have married you? I think so. Not because I'm awesome or nuthin' but I think he hangs the moon, and so do his kids, so he gets a little self-esteem boost from us Is his life better now, married to you, then it was when he was single? He would say most defintely. But that is a little bit of a tough one to answer..the last time he was single, he was 15. He's been with me since...so does that mean he thinks I'm great because he doesn't know better? I'm not the housekeeper I could be, but I try, and he doesn't want for clean underpants, or good food...so that's good. What is it about you that makes him so lucky? I love him, and I am not the cheese to his macaroni, since we both hate cheese! I'm the sweet marinara to his homemade spaghetti Why is he better off married to you than someone else? I dunno...'cause God wanted us together and made us for each other..and that's good enough for me!! Sandy

My husband is so lucky to have me. When he was single, he ate his mother's cooking, which isn't nearly as good as mine. Her cooking isn't bad, but mine is better. I don't skimp on the good ingredients. He's also lucky to be married to me, because I put his laundry away. Most women these days would tell him to put his own laundry away, but not me! No, he's lucky that I do it, and without complaining! So if he were married to someone else, he'd have to do his own laundry. I also pick up after him. I make him look good, too. I help edit his letters, and I critique his sermons so he can do better. If it weren't for me, he wouldn't look so smart.

My husband is blessed to have me. I know he would say I am an answer to his prayers. He was about 30 lbs underweight before he married me. He was stressed out a lot of the times, exhibited by a nauseaus stomach. But after he married me, the stomach problems went away and he gained 25lbs. I keep a nice home and his clothes neatly cleaned and pressed for anytime he goes out. I am a good cook, but nutritious too. I love him and tell him about it often. And I often tell him that I love my job as a SAHM. I think that makes his day. I also tell him he's hansome. Well, he is!!

He graduated from seminary today and he bought ME a gift to say thanks for all MY hard work! Awww! How sweet of him!! Just with having my husband doing one class a month I KNOW that the wife sacrifices and works hard for her husbands school - him graduating now is a product of your love and sacrificing too, so GOOD FOR YOU! And how very, very sweet of him to acknowledge you!

I do think my dh could have done better. I made him pretty miserable in our first few years. However, right now, at this moment, I think he and I both would say he's "lucky" to have me as a wife. I make a concerted effort to be a blessing and a help to him. Some of the ways I'm good for him: I caretake him. He doesn't have to worry about *anything* related to the running of the house, or think about his next meal, or wash his clothes. He was single for a long time and he's very grateful to be relieved of those things. In particular, I am pretty sure that he appreciates that I get up with him every morning, to pack a fresh lunch and see him out the door with a kiss. I have babies with him. And then I take care of his babies well. Quite honestly, just from listening and reading what other women talk about, I don't think very many would tolerate his personality and quirks.

He's smart enough to give me the chocolate before the kids were up, so I wouldn't have to share with them, too.

I'm sorry you feel that way, Calea. (((Hugs))) Maybe you could cook him a special dinner or something and that might help you feel better about yourself. Doing nice things for other people can really be a blessing for all involved.

Here's the flip side. Is your husband fortunate to have married you? Is his life better now, married to you, then it was when he was single? Well, most of the time I think so, I think both of us are blessed that the Lord provided us for one another because we are truly a perfect fit! But other times I realize I can be a selfish brat and I don't feel he's very lucky on those days. quote:
Apparently, he's still under the impression that he married up, and I'm not going to tell him otherwise Hee hee! My husband tells everyone he married up as well. I don't know about his life being better now as opposed to when he was single, because we've been together since we were 16 and 18! So we "grew up" together when we married a couple of years later. But he doesn't worry about having clean clothes, worry about bills being paid on time, groceries in the pantry, dinner on the table, his lunch being packed, house being in order, kiddos well taken care of, etc. I make sure he is very happy in . . . um . . . ahem -- all aspects of being married . He expresses his thankfulness for all those things. Of course everything I do I do because I love him so much. Last night I was giving the kids a bath, doctoring our son after he got kicked by a horse, and doctoring hubby's thumb he cut awfully with a saw. All 3 of them were demanding my attention all at once and afterward hubby said "See, this is why you are the best mom and wife in the world". Awwww. But I am truly humbled by the blessings the Lord has given me. I think my husband and I are very blessed to have one another. Not lucky.

I'm not sure he would think so today. We had some difficulties this morning and I was just a few minutes late to work. I was quite upset with him and let him know it. That was 11:00 this morning and I haven't seen him since then. He won't be home until around 8pm. I'll have to come up with something that will make him appreciate me again.

I bet you do, Harvie. I can't imagine how difficult that must be for you. (((Harvie)))
