I was cooking dinner when my DH yelled Jessica in a scared way. I got to the living room to see Jessica had broken the window. DH said she pushed on the window and it broke. The only thing that kept her from going through was the screen.

Oh goodness girl!!! My nephew, just this past spring, went THROUGH a window and landed on a sidewalk! So glad she wasn't hurt!

I still remember the episodes of Rescue 911 where kids went through windows and got horrible cuts.

My nephew fell from a second story window and had horrible jaw and facial injuries but his ONLY remaining reminder is a two inch scar under his chin and another 3 inch u shaped scar by one ear. Again I'm so glad to hear that she was okay!

Our land has a fairly steep slope to it. Our living room is quite high off the ground. I leave my windows open without fear since a ladder is needed to clean my windows. If that screen would not have held I do believe I would have left Jack a voice mail that we were taking Jessica to the ER.

That is so scary!!! All she did was push on it?! I didn't realize glass would break that easily.

So scary.

I have had to discipline my boys for leaning up against our windows--almost all our windows are second-or third-story level. And once found my middle son standing on the windowsill in his bedroom, which is three stories up and overlooks a concrete driveway. Just go ahead and give me a heart attack, why don't you, kid?

I did not realize that either. I was talking to a friend any they wondered if the glass had a defect in it. They did not think a toddler would normally be able to break it like that.

There was a window at the landing of our stairs on the second floor when I was little. I came running down the steps with my arms out and into the window... It broke, but thankfully I didn't go through. I did cut myself though. Glad your daughter's ok!
