At my church there is a little girl who needs a liver transplant. We have been praying about this for at least 2 years. As it turns out her father will be able to give a slice of his liver to his daughter. The liver is an organ that will grow to the correct size in both of them. This is a relatively new operation (to have a live donor). This double operation will take place on March 11. Please pray for the successful operation and the recuperation of them both. The little girl's name is Laura, age 12.

Lord I lift up this child to you asking you to watch over her. I pray Lord you will prepare her body for this surgery. Prepare her body to accept without complication this new liver. Lord watch over this child and father and keep them near you. I pray Lord for a speedy ,uncomplicated surgery and healing for child and father. Lord be with them and keep them in your loving arms. In Jesus name Amen

Dear friends, Thank you for your continued prayers. Here is an update. The surgery did not go forward as planned because the father had a cold that day. They put off the surgery and it has not been done yet. At my church we are accepting this as God's will. We believe that the timing will be God's will, if it happens at all. Meanwhile, Laura is doing very well. Her blood work is better now than it was earlier this year! Some in the church are starting to pray that the surgery never takes place. In other words God can just as easily heal her liver by a miracle or by the surgery, either way. Since I am not quite sure how to pray about this, I just pray for God's blessing on the family and that his will be done. Thank you for your prayers. This young girl used to look sick. Just looking at her face you could see that something was wrong. She looks healthier to me too and I have no medical background. God is good! It is very possible that God is healing her liver Himself with no need for surgery. How does one pray for a situation like this, not knowing for sure? I've just been thanking God that Laura is doing better and pray for her healing whether it is by a miracle or by surgery.
