I have a child care degree but I havent even used it since I got it. That was right after high school. Now Im 24 and my love is to be an elementary school teacher and Ive already enrolled in school. Thats 2 years in FCCJ and two years in UNF, But I really want to adopt. I can take two years in radiology and go straight to work. To adopt you need to be able to take care of yourself and the child. Dont know what to do but I really want to grow up and have a real career. It may take longer than four years to be a teacher.

You have time. Are you married? I think you need to figure out what you want to do with your life, career wise, before you start to think about kids.

Yes it will take awhile to become a teacher, but if its what you really want to do, pray about it. God will guide and direct if you just ask Him to.

Adopting kids is great, my aunt and uncle are foster parents and are always taking kids in, but as much as you may want to adopt kids, it may not be right time for you. If you go back to school to become a teacher
where would a kid be when your at school?
when would you have time for a kid (if you are studying, going school and working?)
you did not mention if you where married or not... but I get feeling that you are not married since you didnt mention anyone
If you are married, is adopting something that you and your husband have talked about and are interested in?

Yes you must be able to provide and be able to take care of a child, but doing it alone would be hard

Spend some time in prayer with God and see if its God will for you to adopt, it may not be the time for it at moment but later in life, when your more settled in life but ask God he will guide and direct you.
