The Lord has led a woman into my life today, that has a sister in trouble with the law here in Mexico. 2 1/2 years ago her sister, a US citizen, was put in a women's prison outside of Guadalajara. I feel this is it, the Lord is taking me into the prison. The sister, now attending our church, was able to lead her sister to the Lord after she wanted to commit suicide. This is a petition I found online about the woman's story and explaining how the US government hasn't done anything to free her even though the person who got her into this trouble testified that she is innocent. http://searchwarp.com/swa331002.htm What do you think I can do to help this woman get out? I don't want to get into trouble with the government. This is new territory for me. Anyone else ever have experience with this type of injustice or ministry out of the US? How did you deal with it? Right now, I'm just feeling like I can be a support as a listening ear and prayer. I'm not sure what more I can do? When they start talking about contacting our government and news media, I don't have a clue how.

Well, the website you linked pretty much says what to do. It appears that you should primarily appeal to the U.S. Embassy and the Red Cross. As you are actually there, you might have more success than people trying to do it from here.

Thank you. Her sister was suppose to have put my name in a long time ago and in the meantime, I took a baby in and haven't had any extra time. I saw the sister at church on Sunday but she didn't say anything to me about going and visiting her sister.
