N'Harmony had left the Southern Gospel scene by the time I discovered this genre. Did anyone now on the forum hear them in their heyday? What was an N'Harmony concert like?

If the ole geezer's mind remembers Shane Dunlap sang with N'Harmony. I think his dad owned the group to start with later leaving the group to Shane. They appeared at the World Premier in 2001 and seems like they were there on other occasions. On the 2001 video they sang 'One Fine Day'. I believe we also seen them on occasion at Dollywood at the Harvest Festival in October. Thought I had one of their cd's but when I looked I didn't see one.

I remember Shane's father , Steve Dunlap having the group. He later got cancer and passed away and Shane took over managing the group. I had a couple of their cd's, but don't know what i did with them right now.

I was privileged to see them only once or twice before Shane disbanded the group & joined Signature Sound. I enjoyed their music very much. They did new stuff, old stuff, comedy, normal stuff you would find in a SGM concert. I have several of their CDs & a video. Enjoyable sound.

Steve was a great guy. I first met him on the Jubilee At Sea when N-Harmony & Liberty shared a product table (aka: roulette table) one year. Unknowingly, I asked if they would be back next year... Steve said, (very matter-of fact, might I add) "The rest of the guys probably will, but I doubt I will. I have terminal cancer." I was embarrassed, but honestly, he didn't look sick at all. He kinda smiled, and assured me that it was OK, and we became good friends that week. I really miss him. They were a great group.

I saw the group many times when they were hitting their stride in the mid to late '90s. I have about a half dozen of their projects. Before their disbandment they were one of my favorite quartets. They didn't have a weak link (vocally) in the entire group.

The first time I saw them Scott Rogers (now with CrossWay) was their tenor singer. The group before the disbandment was Chris Cooper (Tenor), Shane (Lead), Craig O'Dell (Baritone) and Kevin Waters (Bass). Out Of The Blue was probably their best project.

I'll second that.

Hold On is a close second for me. Wasn't that Steve's last project before he passed?

N'Harmony CDs are hard to come by. I am blessed to have "Out of the Blue" and "Hold On". some good stuff on there. I still pull them out from time to time and made a Cd of some of my favorite music which a couple cuts made it to.
I became an instant fan of Scott Roger's voice through them. When he joined up with Crossway, I couldn't have been more pleased.

When they first came on the scene in the early 1990's they were a trio including Shane and his father Steve. Later on, when there was all this talk about not enough quartets and every trio was seemingly feeling pressure to add a bass singer, some of them did - including N'Harmony. Brian Free about the same time. Chris West was N'Harmony's first bass singer.

I have 3 of there cd's "Out Of The Blue " and "Hold On " and one that is a tribute to Steve, can't think of the title of the Cd.I started keeping up with them when Scott Rodgers left the local group here in our area to sing with them. That was about 1997.That was also the first time to hear Chris West,he was about 19 then.

I have one project called Shadows when N'Harmony was still a trio. I liked them better as a quartet, but this was a good project too.

Hi, I noticed this forum because I saw my husband's name, Craig O'Dell. He use to sing with N'Harmony. I read that a few of you were looking for their CD's. I believe Craig and Shane may have some available if anyone is interested. I personally love the acapella CD the best! Unfortunatly I had never heard of them before I met Craig two years ago so I never got the opportunity to see them perform live. I just watch the videos Craig has. Maybe one day they will get back together and I can hear them live! Let me know if anyone would like a CD and I will see what I can do.

I saw N'Harmony live when their latest project was Out of The Blue. Love the song. In fact I loved it so much we recorded it too and got great response from it. The last time I talked to Shane he was going to try and get me a copy of Out of The Blue and the project after it. I have a cassette of Out of The Blue, but you know how that goes. Cassettes are gone.

I must say that the night I saw N'Harmony live was at a pivotal time in my life. I was looking for what God wanted me to do with my life. God used them to speak to me that night. Not only that but I had never really heard much of their stuff before that night. I found out very quick that Shane Dunlap is one of the most talented leads (does he even sing anymore?) and Chris Cooper is one of the best tenors I've heard (just my preference). The night I saw them they did Oh What A Savior and Chris' version was better than Ernie's.

At one time, after Shane's stint with SSQ, I thought maybe he would re-form N'Harmony but it never happened. N'Harmony could have been a front runner in gospel music. They had the sound and a good mixture of songs. I miss them.

I agree 100% with that statement. There was not a weak vocal link in that entire group. They were definitely heading places.

Half.com has two of their projects available for very reasonable prices.
