Our church is almost done. It has an awesome story with it.

A year later this is what it looks like now.

What a great story and I bet having the congregation do the work must be very gratifying. It's a beautiful church and I know you must be very proud.

We hope to have it done enough to have VBS in it next month as well as 2 weddings. We do a carnival at the end of VBS so being out of city limits and on a much bigger lot will be so much better. Right now we are right off the square which is convenient but some not nice people hang out on the square now and then. One year some guys that were high came to our carnival and really scared some of the ladies and quite a few kids. We ended up having to call the police and the guy was screaming cuss words at our pastor. We have a ton of fun though. The teenagers all like the dunking booth. It is in late July when temps are easily in the 90's with high humidity. There is never a shortage of kids wanting to get dunked. Our church bought a snow cone machine and a movie theater style pop corn popper. I think the latest thing is the hot dog cooker like you see in gas stations. They add in some games and we end up with a huge crowd because it is all free.
We added an end of summer blow out at the park which is sorta more of the same except they have singers come to do the entertainment. I don't know if we will move it to our new site since it is on a couple acres or keep it at the park though.

That is a beautiful church.

Besides being so beautiful, it sounds like you have a lot to keep your kids coming to church and that's important. They need to be around other kids who believe the same as they do. Way to go.

Yeah a lot of kids come to church. The sad thing is that our bus ministry is busy since so many kids come without their parents. It is sad since it would be nice if mom and dad would come too. But at least we get parents to come twice a year with the VBS play the kids do and the Christmas play.
