The ASPCA has created a list of plants that are known to be toxic to pets. The list includes Azalias, Ferns, Ivys, Lilies, Daffodills, Tulips, Palms, Philodendron, and many more. Please see the full list at:

Keep in mind, though, that most of these are very mildly toxic, causing nothing more than some mild GI upset or mouth irritation. Not saying you shouldn't be cautious, but I'd hate to see anyone getting rid of all their plants without good reason.

If you lock in any creature, from rats to chickens to pigs to people, 10 to 30 or more in a box and force feed them you'll create little monsters. Confinement Education School Operations (CESOs) just don't compare to naturally pastured free-ranged kids.

I know all about buckeye. I have two of them in my backyard. I had a yellow lab that tried to eat the nuts. He made himself loopy. That was one the reasons why I had to find a new home for him.

My grandparents' little toy fox got into some lily of the valley and got pretty sick. We didn't know what was making her so sick at first. The vet thought that it was full anal glands, but treating that (he cleaned them out) didn't help either. My grandma somehow realized it was caused from that very toxic plant. She keeps her out of there now. We would like to keep her around for a while longer!
