The pope, who will also mark the third anniversary of his election during the trip, has said he hopes the visit will lead to a spiritual renewal in America.


That's what needs to happen, Chrsitanity needs to come back to America.

Well, he SHOULD be ashamed. He was apparently directly involved in the coverup. He narrowly escaped lawsuit due to his status as the Vatican head of state.

I'll believe he's serious when he starts handing over the pedophile priests, bishops, and cardinals, instead of letting them retire with their position intact, without even an apology to the victims.

Cardinal Mahoney is in his entourage, for crying out loud...
