Hi family.....
I just need a small prayer....I have decided that I want to start a charity. I want to talk
to my pastor and see if I can start this in the church. Please pray for me to make clear
decisions and to come up with a charity name and to get this going. I really have thought
about this all day, so I think God is putting this on my heart to really do it!!
I want to start this charity to collect pocket change/spare change and to be able to donate it all in one big donation for St Jude Childrens Hospital. I think I am going to call it "Coins for Keeps",
I'm not sure yet...
I am pretty excited about it and I pray it all goes to plan for me!

I got the name now...."Coins for Kids"..I emailed my pastors secretary to see if I could
visit with them this week about my idea and see if this is possible to start in our church.
Lord, I feel that you have put this on my heart very heavily today. I have thought about
it all day. And I am ready to just jump right into this. So, I will not let this go. Just give
me the wisdom I need to come up with this charity and all of the details. Give me the
patience I need to get this started and up and running. I really want to make a difference
in a childs life and be able to at least help 1 family. Maybe I can even collect enough to
be able to help 1 family per month or something like that....
I praise you Lord and thank you Lord!!

Father,
Thank you giving kc a generous, thoughtful heart. Please work out the laying of a good foundation for this charity, the establishment of it, the publicity to attrack donors and all of the details that can make it a helpful tool. May all involved with it be blessed. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ for this charity, its formation and every facet of it. Amen.

KC, when I read your opening post the name that poped into my head was "coins for kids", and when I got to your next post, there was the name "coins for kids". :) This souds like such a wonderful thing.
Dear Father, thank You for KC, and thank You for putting it on her heart to start this charity. Please help her and guide her in every way. Pour Your blessings out on it, and all who work in it, and may it be a blessing and a light for You to those who need it. In Jesus name. Amen

This is why I love you all!! Thank you for your wonderful prayers, sweet words..
Ok, i talked to the secretary at my church, and they do something with charities already, so
she doesn't think the pastor will do this in the church...Please pray for me on this. I just can't
stop thinking about it!!
If you have any advice or anything for me on this please feel free. Since I can't start this in the
church, how should I start this, people are not just going to want to donate if I go door to door.
People will think I will just keep it for myself, most people think these things are bogus. SO, I
don't know where to start or what to do now. BUT, satan just wanted me to give up and just
be done with this idea today....NOPE!! I will not let this rest until I start this and get it going.....
I love you all! Thank you for your support and your heartfelt prayers..
Lord, I need you here, please help me..I want to do this very badly!!

Lord, please be with my friend, KC. Help her to get her charity started. Bless her and it so that it might benefit all those for whom it is intended. Grant her a spirit of determination and knowledge so that she might go about this properly and get the charity started in the correct manner. Give her people around her so that she can organize this and do as much good as possible with it. Most of all, reward her with a sense of worth and gratitude for being willing to step forward and help others as you would like all of us to do. I ask this in the name of our Divine Savior, Jesus Christ.

My first thought was perhaps you can contact St. Jude's Children's Hospital and see if someone there has a suggestion for implementation.

I'm praying for your charity planning too.
Where are loose coins found?
In the car, in that thing once known as an ash tray- now abandonded because it's soooo hip to just throw your burned up cigarette out the window and cause a grass fire, or just trash up the environment.
On the dresser, or under the family La-Z-Boy.
And the number one answer... in the wash! Yes, along with bits of facial tissue, receipts not needed, grocery lists and coupons not used, clanking around, freshly washed change in the washer and dryer.
A container, like a wax paper cup decorated by the kids for each of these three spots with St. Jude's kids helping with the promotion would likely be a plus.
