My neighbor "B" asked me to pray for him because he's an alcoholic and is having a hard time right now. He's struggling because he's had to deal with many personal tragedies though-out his entire life. I think he feels stuck in a rut and can't over-come his painful past.
Please pray that God opens a door for "B" to go through--that will help him heal from his difficult childhood thru today.

Dear Lord,
Please open B's eyes! May he see that coming to You with his problems will help him to heal! You will be the one to take away all his pain and fear. May You pour down Your love and Your peace upon this troubled man, so that he can be free from his hurt! May he realized how perfect and loving You really are Lord--and may he become a follower of You!

Lord, please be with B at this time. Help him to over-come the alcoholism which is affecting his life, and help to soften the blows of life that are being dealt to him from the personal tragedies that he is struggling with. Remove the spirit of pain and suffering from his past, and replace it with a new, replenished spirit of confidence and self-worth. Give him your love and help him to realize the person who he can be, and to forgive those who hurt him in the past so that he might be able to achieve a better tomorrow for himself. Lord, be with him at all times, and show him that you are never far from him, no matter what struggle confronts him. I ask this in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, who died up on the cross for our sins so that we might all have everlasting life.
Amen.
