Prayer for sparklingsnows mother - 9/20/2008 2:25:00 PM

I was laying in bed last night and kept waking up feeling the need to pray for sparklingsnow and her mother.
I ask you to join with me in lifting this up to the Lord.
Dear Heavenly Father I lift up this mother to you.
I pray Lord you would fill her with peace and a calmness,
Lord take away her confusion and fear and bless her with joy and comfort.
Lord I pray she will know you are with her each day.
Help her Lord each morning and carry her through each day.
May she sleep in the refuge of your loving arms and peace.
Lord I pray also for sparklingsnow.
I pray you will give her strength and faith each day through the power of your Holy Spirit.
Help her Lord physically,spiritually and emotionally.
Bless her with joy,peace and comfort as she leans on you.
Lord only you know every need and concern this family has.
I pray you will provide for each person according to your will and plan for their lives.
Lord embrace them today and cover them in your love,peace and grace.
May your tender mercys and everlasting word abide in them and guide them.
Thank you Lord for all you are doing and all you are yet to do.
Thank you Lord
May your will be done
in Jesus name

Father God,
A daughter is caring for her mother, and this is not an easy thing but an ongoing sharing of love and challenges for both. Kyl shares with us all the needs she senses for these days for these two, and I pray with her as well. For Sparkleingsnow's mother, Lord, grant her peace that continues to pass what she has known, that her confustion and fear be replaced with calmness, joy, and comfort in knowing You as her Lord and Savior. Take her hand through the day and grant her sound, comforting rest each night. For Sparkleingsnow, Lord, may she resist the challenges of acting on her own will and the demands that make of her energies, and insted find peace and reassurance in the leadings of Your Holy Spirit in daily decisions. Help her to simply be there first, Lord, and then to do as the need arises- that there be room in the moments for ministry from her mother to her as well. That the earthly understanding of what is happening is nothing next to knowing Your love no matter how things are in this life.
In the precious name of Jesus I pray,

Thank you for the ways that you are using sparklingsnow to help people through prayers and through the other facets of her life. Please bless her efforts in taking care of her mom. More and more of us are caregivers for our parents—as I am for my 93 year old mom. Of course, you already know that the challenge is not easy. Please give daily encouragement to sparklingsnow and a special wisdom to help her mom. May she be a wonderful blessing to her mom.
Please help her mom in the ways that you know will be best. Help her greatly.

I pray that the Lord bless this mother and daughter and that they grow even closer to
you Lord. You know what is going on here Lord and I pray that you give this mother
strength, peace and comfort every day Lord..I pray that you give sparklingsnow peace
and joy in being there for her mother and give her the strength she needs on a daily
basis LOrd..

Thank you Barbi, peaceofGod, Itlyn1kc, Prayer Warrior and all who prayed for mom and myself. Mom continues to ever so slowly go down hill. I read her some of your prayers yesterday, and she really enjoyed them. They touched her heart, and mine.

Praying in agreement. It could be a challenging thing, or maybe easier than you realize, but a photo album of pictures you yourself can recall things about / a small bulletin board collage of pictures of family and fun times that can hang on a wall can not be so much an escape as a help in collectively remembering times enjoyed together in the past. My parents were able to do that for theirs, and I should start making it a point to get pictures of mine.

Today I took mom outside in her wheelchair. It is the first time in a long time thatshe has let me take her outside. We picked flowers by the side of the road (me picking, her watching). It was a special time. Wish I had a picture of that. :)

I almost cried when I read that. Geez I am a softy sometimes. Tears of joy for you and your mom.
You will have a picture in your mind that nothing can take away. I pray each time you think of this day you will be remember the beauty of it all.
The simply things in so many ways are really the greatest.
Lord I thank you for this day for sparkling and her mom.
I thank you for the time they spent together and the beauty of it all.
Lord I pray that you will bless them with so many more days that will fill their hearts with joy and happiness.

Father, Abba, how heavy the burden can be as a caregiver to our loved ones, but how very sweet is Your Loving Kindness to wrap Your arms around Sparkleing and her mother so that You can carry them when they cannot make it alone.
I am praying in agreement with Kyl's prayer and all of the others as well.
Sparkleing, God bless you. I took care of my 91 yr old father until late stage Alzheimer's took him in March 07, and now I am caring for my very frail little 92 yr old mom who lives with me. God's grace will always be sufficient.
God loves you, and so do I. Fear not, but instead rest in Him.

Blessed Lord, please be with Sparkleingsnow and her mother at this time. Bless Sparkleingsnow for her dedication and committment to her mom's care. Let her actions serve as an example for others and lead more of us to serve others in ways that exemplify the teachnigs of Christ. Help her to have strength to continue to help her mom in all ways necessary. Tend to her in all ways physical, mental, and emotional and help replenish her body, mind and spirit for the toll that her actions take on her. Show her that you are with her at all times, and always remind her that she can lean upon you when she herself needs to be ministered to. Give her moments of brightness in her life to help remind her of the good she is doing and the good that is in the world around her, and let her be able to cherish the time she gets to spend with her parents during this time in their lives. Thank you, God, for also bringing her to this site, and for all the love and ministering she has show us here. Bless her God, for she truly is a good person.
Lord, also be with sparkelingsnow's parents, particularly her mother. Please lend your healing touch to help minimalize their sufferings from age. Thank you for her presence in this world and for all the ways that she's touched other people, including her daughter. May she take pleasure in the time sparkleingsnow spends with her, and may she feel a sense of pride in seeing what a loving person she raised who will tend to her as she does. Bless her with good health as she continue in her twilight years, and comfort her at all times. Lord, I pray for all of this, with faith and humility, in the name of the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, through whom all good things come.

Thank you marstacy, tracydolls, and TorchHeart, for your prayers and kind words. You all are truely a blessing to me.
TorchHeart, your right about dad. He too, needs more and more care as time goes on, although he's not frail like mom is yet. He's a proud man, and it's so hard for him as his breathing keeps him from doing more and more. And he's still only a babe in Christ.
