Urgent prayer request. The boy twin grandson has stopped breathing and they are rushing him to the hospital as I type this. I know nothing more. The grandmother (my best friend) is in tears. She called and asked for my friends to "work their magic". She's not saved. The twins were a month premature - and he had just come home on Friday.

Brief update - last I heard (a few hours ago - this is the earliest I could get on here ), they are still running tests and he's still in distress - but, he's alive! I will know more in the morning.

Update - he still cannot breathe on his own, and they do not know for how long he wasn't breathing before his mother found him.
Best friend (Laura) is on her way to Jacksonville (from the Tampa area) to be with her daughter and the other grand kids. She and her daughter have only recently mended a very strained relationship, and they still have a ways to go.
Continued prayers are needed.

This just came in from the grandmother:
He has been poked, xray, ekg and still nothing that is difinitive
except he has the syndrome that cause SIDS. Now it is preventing him
from doing this again. If he would have done this overnight he
would have died.
They will start by giving him caffine. It is suppose to keep him
stimulated. He will make him irratible but that is ok as long as he
keeps breathing....

Praying with the others.
Wondering if both babies are in the same incubator? Did the other survive? I've heard about twins needing each other to survive after birth for a while, that they are so used to being close to each other that the stronger one sometimes tends to comfort the weaker one. No kidding, I really have. If they are separated, I'd wonder if this hadn't been a thought of some doctor to try. Caffeine in a premie? Wow!

Actually the daughter was home first, and he had come home last Friday. And, he was the larger twin, just has the breathing issues. Their original due date was Oct 5th.

Again I agree in prayer. Thank you, God, for keeping this baby boy alive and not letting this have happened over night. Bless you God. Doing something like this for a helpless baby shows me exactly how great you are. May I, nor anyone else, never doubt your greatness and mercy, again.
