Remember last week when President Bush was in Isreal? I'm pretty sure this was the topic of disscussion no matter what Public relation stuff they want to throw at us was said.
JERUSALEM — An Israeli daily says Cabinet Minister Shaul Mofaz has said Israel should attack Iran if it continues with its nuclear program.
The Yediot Ahronot newspaper quotes Mofaz as saying "If Iran will continue with its plan to develop nuclear weapons, we will attack it."

When his happens watch Russia like a hawk. If they start to talk about an attack on Isreal you'd better go door to door and tell everyone to repent tha "Kindom of God" is coming again!

Biblefreak,
The bible says that Russia will attack those who are at peace. How does that fit in with your theory? Read Ezekiel 38-39. I would quote, but I'm on a PS3 and it takes a couple minutes or so to type out even one sentence.

Russia will lead an attack on Isreal. They are good friends with Iran. If and when Iran is attacked Russia will come to their aid.

Okay, first off we need to be careful reading Russia into end-time prophecy. Why? Because at the time, Russia did not even exist. Even more importantly, there are a lot of nations "north" of Israel that have bigger conflicts with Israel than Russia.
Oh, and for what it is worth, Ezekiel 38-40 is referring to the time period of what we laughingly call the Battle of Armageddon... and not WWIII (the four horsemen).
Oh, and for what it is worth, Israel has every right to defend themselves if a nation as hostile as Iran begins threatening them with nuclear weaponry.

I'm not telling you that this statement is false, or that you don't know what your talking about. So please don't take my question out of context. But I was wondering why Russia cannot be part of the end times? When Revelations was written, these events were shown by God about what is to come before Christ's second coming. So why can't Russia be part of that? God couldn't have been talking about a Country that didn't exist, but will exist in the future; when pertaining to future events? I'm sorry if my question isn't clear. It's late and I'm pretty tired, heh.

I think we need to be careful about putting any modern-day country or group of countries into a specific role in end-time prophecy. God, of course, knew what would be happening, but I think if he wanted us to know details, He'd have told us "There will be a large country at the northernmost point of the continent that will lay seige on the nation of Israel." God doesn't play games. I just think we spend way too much time trying to figure out who does what that we truly can't see the forest for the trees.

Russia wouldn't attack Israel over this. If they did there's a high chance it would lead to war with the U.S., and Russia doesn't want that. They'd probably make strong diplomatic protests and maybe hold some wargames, but Putin's not crazy.
It's possible Russia can be interpreted as part of the end times prophecies, though I'm not convinced myself at the moment.

I personally do not think Russia is the country spoken of in Ezekiel, but not because it is not possible. It's just with the other names and areas implicated there are other countries that make more sense, and one in specific that I lean towards. I came to this conclusion after a couple of years of really studying the matter though, and previous to that I did believe Russia to be involved because that is what I had always heard.

Did you see that Russia sold $300 million worth of missle heads to Iran last week? It was a little blip at the USAToday site.
I think that when attacked Russia will come to the aid of their allies. I think they will attack Isreal if Iran is attacked.

I didn't see that sale, no, though in my mind it doesn't alter the equation much. I assume these would be conventional warheads. Are they surface-to-air ones? I know they've been talking about that sale for a while now.
In any event, my point is that Russia won't fight a nuclear war for the sake of Iran. What is plausible is that they will attempt to restrain Iran in the future if they see a risk of nuclear war, and will try to promote both themselves and Iran through some aggressive rhetoric and some symbolic arms sales. But consider - why would Russia attack Israel and thus open itself to nuclear attack (certainly from Israel, and very probably from the United States as well) simply for the sake of Iran? It's not like historically those two countries are great buddies, except for the last 30 years or so.
Russia under Putin is trying to regain world power, not cause a nuclear war.

May God richly Bless the leaders of the world with Wisdom and Grace to be able to mediate situations that arise regarding the unities and alliances involved in the Governing of the affairs of State worldwide. May The Lord have mercy upon His followers for Wisdom is proved right by all of Her Children.
I have been reading that there is a distinct Muslim presence in European States that has added to the enducement of certain alliances with Arab nations as well. Therefore, one should notice that things continue to unfold in the manner in which The Lord will reckon with at appropriate times as in the days of old goneby in the past.
The Lord said: Then I will Bless them, saying, "Blessed be Egypt (United States), my people, Assyria (Muslim States) my handiwork, and Israel, my inheritance."
They will serve The Almighty together as it is written. Isaiah 19:23-25.
