A friend and I took our kids to an amusement park this afternoon (they had a half day at school). They all went on a water ride and I waited at the bottom holding all the stuff - I had to go to the restroom so that's really why I volunteered to stay behind. I had two backpacks, a hat, three maps, ds' glasses and I don't know what else! I gathered up everything as I left the restroom and thought to myself that I didn't need the maps and it was silly to carry extra stuff so I tossed them. When ds got off the ride, he asked me for his glasses - I didn't have them! I ran back to the bathroom, remembered exactly where I'd put them down - they weren't there! Asked the guy in the closest gift shop - no one turned them in to him. I was thinking I'd just have to wait till they made their way (hopefully) back to the lost & found. We went on to the next thing but I was so upset (and so was ds). I thought maybe the map had a number for lost & found that I could call - and that's when I realized I'd thrown the maps away - and probably had the glasses in that same hand!! I ran back to the restroom - of course, the garbage had been emptied! I stood there and prayed and waited for an employee to come by, not wanting to wander too far from that spot. The second person who came by, I asked if there was any way to know where the garbage would've gone if it was just emptied because I thought I'd thrown my son's glasses in the garbage . . . she pulled ds' glasses out of her pocket and said "these glasses?" I hugged her and told her she was an answer to prayer!

It wasn't just an answered prayer that saved me about $100 or more but It was kinda God saying "yea, of course I can do this, and yea, I do care" - sure seems silly to need to get that message but I've been at kinda a low place spiritually and feeling like I'm in a financial vice with our minor issues and the major stuff happening in the economy and just worry in general. I've been really struggling between trust and fear. It meant so much more to me than just finding the glasses. Dh is just really excited I found the glasses, though.

We give You praise Lord for the tiniest thing.
You said to ask and it would be given, in this case it was.
We give You ALL the praise, honor & glory that You so richly deserve.

I have concluded that the Lord's angels, under His instructions, take care of things and arrange many situations that more often than not we probably don't think twice about. I was at a cellgroup recently and we read the book of Ruth, and I thought again how God had arranged EVERYTHING beforehand - meetings, food, a new husband for Ruth. Someone was clearly doing things behind the scenes!

Thank You Lord for taking care of these glasses.

Also for honest park employees, and the faith and determination of mom's who love the Lord and step up to challenges that say go home with the response not yet! These kids and this world and my family need a miracle please, Lord.

Yea God!
