Does the way the opposite gender person dresses affect your feeling of attraction?

What kinds of outfits make you melt?

Please keep all answers in the confines of modesty (let's not talk about immodest outfits or undergarments or anything like that).

(only edited the title to make it so all people can answer)

Well, unfortunately what you wear will affect the degree of our friendship. This is just me - I can't speak for others. I never really noticed this factor, until my last relationship, when it took me awhile to see this next person in terms of a dating relationship, because of what he wore when he first came into my line of work.

What to wear?
a) Other than that 'clothes' would make the man, because I would expect him to dress in terms of the place where we are going. If we are dining at a fine establishment I would expect him to be appropriately clothed.

b) I also don't like a person to dress to shabbily. Even if we are going somewhere casual, e.g. the zoo or the park, please wear something that matches.

c) The last guy I dated wanted me to wear fitted clothes because they would enhance my figure - that was a no-no for me. I don't like my clothes stuck to my body, my body needs room to breathe.

d) He also had a thing about shoes. Shoes should be clean and well-polished at all times. Mine as well as his.

However, we didn't bring up because of our clothing issues, we learned to compromise a bit and accept each other's taste in clothing, as a part of what made us who we are.

What kind of outfit makes me melt?
Hmmm, men just wear suits - and a suit is a suit, there's nothing 'jaw-drop' appealing about it. At least not to me .

I tend to notice a woman a lot more if she is wearing a dress or skirt. There is something about a woman in nylons and heels though that makes me notice.

I am not attracted to suit people...never have been, never will be. They'll never make me turn around and take a second look.

I'm attracted to rugged and athletic men. A man who dresses up in simple but casual clothing is good. I don't' like trends, so, if a man is trendy, I'm a bit put off. What does make me turn around would be someone like Robert Redford in his younger days...very manly and rugged, but not threatening.

I'm most attracted to a guy who can pull of flip flops and a T-shirt ...

but who wears nicer shoes, clean jeans, and a nice shirt most of the time.

I don't like it when guys dress sloppy. It may even be slacks and a button up shirt, but if they are torn and wrinkled, or don't fit right ... bleh.

I'll admit - I AM attracted to suits, but my preference is men in casual dress pants, a nice shirt with a sweater draped over their shoulders. (And yes, that does come from a real life experience in my ancient past - )

Now days, it's still that look. But I also love the casual dress pants (or really nice jeans) with the shirt and pullover sweater under a nice long coat. Ahhhhh.............

I love winter!!!!!!!

I prefer a person dressed casually. Anyone can wear a suit. A suit shows no imagination. Casual clothes show me what you like.

Clothes.....

OK I'll admit it. I like ladies in blue jeans or blue jean shorts (I'm a bottom guy mostly). With perhaps a top shapely but not too tight. The neck line has to be somewhat modest though If you put a low cleavage advertising neck line even on a stunning woman the result just say trash to me. I prefer flat shoes or flip flops to heels. Casual is usually better than dressy (event appropriate in any case however). Dressy casual can be very nice (Khakis with a nice top maybe)

But usually if she is attractive to me the clothes come in a distant second to her natural beauty.
