The donuts from the cider mill.

But if I can't get those, apple pies and pumpkin pies.

I would have to say fresh apples right off the tree. Apple pie, Pumkin pie, and a nice hot bowl of homemade Beef Noodle Soup on a cold Autumn day. Yummie!

I like a nice roast beef dinner with potatoes & gravy. I also really like homemade spaghetti. I've been thinking about making a batch.
For desserts, I like pumpkin pie and pecan pie. I haven't got too much into apple pie anymore since my mom doesn't make it from scratch anymore. Store-bought just doesn't cut it for me.

Soup, soup and more soup! I have been waiting months for soup weather, and made my first yesterday.

I pretty much am excited about using my oven again and making homemade beans instead of canned. Hubby doesn't let me do that stuff in the summer because it's too hot. So, yay we're having meatload tomorrow!

I second Jenny-Fair on the soups. Fall also means time to start baking again. Ooooo, and roast turkey! I love the way the house smells when there's a turkey and some yams roasting in the oven. Fatter o' mact there's a breast in the freezer for me to do up on Saturday.

Christina, could you do your beans in a crock pot? Or put a hot plate outside?

Here in the Tri-Cities people are known to have entire outdoor kitchens, lol, because we have such a long, hot summer most years.

OH LOL, I suppose I could have plugged the crockpot in outside. Never thought of that! Well, that will come in handy next summer since we eat beans all the time. Thanks!

I also made homemade soup yesterday. Beef bones that gave me a good broth and then onions, potatoes, and carrots. Yummy!
