If I was in prison or marooned let's say, and I had only one book to read/study and witness from Paul's letter to the Romans would be my choice. Personally, Hebrews has been a favorite of mine with Daniel, James and Ephesians; actually all four of Paul's 'prison' epistles.

Psalms has always been my long-term favourite book; however at the moment, I would add Job to this also.

I really enjoy praising the Lord so my pick would be Psalms. I also enjoy Acts and 1 or 2 Peter.

John's Gospel uses poetic, repetitive language, a lot of small words. It's the book I start with when learning to read a new language. You get to the end, dictionary in hand, and feel as though you are getting a handle on the target language. Then, you turn the page to Acts, and hit the wall!

The first 5 books, because they clearly define sin and how to walk with G-d. After that, Ezra and Nehemiah. Then Zechariah. Then John and James.
