First is always going to be looks. We can't see anything else (By this I mean if we look at a girl we cannot see that she is honest, caring, Christian etc. All we can see is that she looks good or doesn't)
After the looks are OK then we start looking for other things, character, personality etc.
Let me add that every woman is attractive to some man. and that no two men find exactly the same things attractive.

So, is there a certain type of look that guys are more attracted too? (You know, certain things that are either a plus or big minus?) Like, does what a girl wear matter, or not so much?

It's different for each guy. Just be yourself and be comfortable in whatever you wear/do etc. Your attitude speaks louder than your clothes. (an average looking girl with a great attitude, smile etc, will end up being more physically attractive than a great looking girl with a bad attitude)

Like John said, it's different for each dude. I'm not attracted to anything that isn't my girlfriend. 
Being obese and having the appearance as if you don't bother taking care of yourself is the biggest turnoff for me, but that also differs from every guy. I just personally find it repulsive.

You are right. You did not use the word 'looks' in your poll, but physical appearance. And since that's usually from a distance, I'd be considering if her appearance to me is appropriate for where I first notice her.

When you are new at school/work/where ever and a girl in line in the cafeteria bumps into you, you will first notice if you think she's pretty or not. It's instinct, sexual, and is the way God made us. The next thing you will do is judge her by what ever follows from her mouth, if she is sweet and says excuse me... or cusses you out for being a big bumbling gorilla. It's impossible to judge anyone's "character of the heart" upon an initial casual contact without the first word being muttered... so the answer WILL be looks.

I look and see how she acts, if she looks and sounds to be what I would like then I think about talking with her. So many people don't think about the longterm and thats why so many people can't stay together.
