when you were in Kindergarten?

For me, it was Jimmy Carter.

If you are not from the U.S., just say who was your prime minister, or whatever leader your country has that equals our president.

There was no local kindergarten when I was a child. However, when I was born, Harry S. Truman (1945-1953)was president, followed by Dwight Eisenhower who remained as president until I was 11.

Kennedy was president when i was born. I do remember when he was assasinated. Would have been almost 2 years old.

Also I remember the 1968 election, and people wearing 'Nixon' buttons. That would have been in the second grade.

Only kids of well-to-do parents went to kindergarten when I was growing up. The rest of us enjoyed our early childhood and, according to stats, we didn't suffer for the delay in beginning our education without it.

But Dwight Eisenhower was president when I started 1st grade in 1958 at age 6.

I was born when Reagan was starting to run for office; he was elected less than a year after I was born. He was president when I was in Kindergarten (1985-1986).

And as a small aside trivia ... Clinton was impeached on my 19th birthday. Nixon resigned on my parents 2nd anniversary.
