This is a place to review a resturaunt either in your town, or a town someone may be near on vacation. Let's help each other out before we hit the road! $ is cheap $$ is inexpensive $$$ not cheap, but not 'spensive $$$$ is fine dining? My first review: Angelo's Seafood 5 Mashes Sands Rd Panacea, FL 32346 Totally wonderful fresh seafood! I get the half lobster stuffed with deviled crab and shrimp! The place is on a long dock built over the water, and you can dine inside or out. I love the place, and it is worth stopping in this little town to eat there!!! Panacea is near Carrabelle on the gulf side of Florida. YUM!! $$ to $$$

I would say about an hour or so, you can mapquest it. Worth the drive, IMO! and cheaper than the tourist traps in P.C.

This is the best Vietnamese food I have ever had. The first time we went, we went there for lunch. It was so good we came back for dinner that night. Yep, it was that good. We went with locals who order something call the birds nest,(not on the menu) It was soooo yummy. Le Kims Located in Stockton, CA

I love eating at Miller's at the Outer Banks, NC. I always get broiled scallops but I know the other food is good, too, and their hushpuppies are unbelievably yummy. $$

Okay, y'all...isn't it time that you took a vacation in beautiful San Diego? Here are some of my favorite restaurants here... Anthony's Fish Grotto on Harbor Drive, Downtown San Diego Great place to bring out of town guests...you sit right out over the water and can watch the action on the bay. Great seafood. I recommend the Squid Steak and the Crab Louie. Lots of other attractions nearby, such as the Star of India, USS Midway Museum, or you can just stroll along the harbor. Nati's on Bacon St. in Ocean Beach or Old Town Mexican Cafe on San Diego Avenue in Old Town. Both have fantastic Mexican food. Anything you order is great! Old Town is another great place to take out of towners...great little shops and museums and the Ocean Beach area is also fun! Taka Sushi on 5th Avenue in the famous Gaslamp Quarter in San Diego. Fantastic sushi, great service! The Prado located in famous Balboa Park (near the San Diego Zoo). Wonderful food, great ambiance. Go for lunch and spend the day in the beautiful park or enjoy all the great museums. The Marine Room located at the end of Spindrift Drive in La Jolla on La Jolla Shores. Fine dining at it's best right on the ocean. Beautiful restaurant..excellent food. Expenisve!!

One place not to go to if you are trying to loose weight is the "OLIVE GARDEN. I'm not sure if they are a national chain or not. This is an Italian Restaurante loaded with all kinds of fine Itailian food. They are located in and around Notheast Ohio, and suberbs of Cleveland. The food is very good but it's all PASTA PASTA AND MORE PASTA, and lots of GARLIC BREAD STICKS and FRESH ROLLS, and don't forget THE CHEESE, MOTZERELLA, PROVALONE, any of the other cheese topings you want. They have them all. And then there are the great high calorie desserts. You can gain 10 lbs easy after eating dinner at the Olive Garden. I'll never go back there again.! Spiritchsr1

That's true of almost all chain restaurants, even the light menus aren't as light as advertised I believe Olive Garden is National. If you're going to eat out, don't expect it to be low cal in chain restaurants. Some restaurants post their nutritional info online but a lot won't. They know the calories are high. Common sense will tell you that pasta cooked with butter, breadsticks and dessert will be high in cals and sodium. Salads aren't that much better if they are full fat dressings. I don't get to go to a lot of good restaurants but a good one in Detroit is in Mexicantown called Xochimilco's. Yum!

Someone mentioned Olive Garden and I used to love Olive Garden until we found Eastside Mario's. Actually found it first when we went to Niagara Falls (the Canadian side) and found out that there's one here in my neighborhood. Their food is better plus it's cheaper and they have other food than pasta and great service too. But then for fun Italian eating and if there's a big group -Bucca di Beppo...they have the best Bruchetta.

If you drive down the East coast headed to Florida, stop along the Georgia coastal islands at THE CRAB SHACK It is touristy, but delicious, and the locals do eat there. People come up salt water creeks and tie up at their dock to dine. the food is all steamed, but fresh and wonderful. I recommend EVERYTHING! The website has a map link, menus, etc. They have a kids menus, and the best scrambled dog in the Savannah area. $-$$

For cheap Thai food in Boston, check out Sugar & Spice near Porter Square. -Dan.

Tulips, that exhibit is in Balboa Park at the San Diego Museum of Art and goes until September if I'm not mistaken. I want to catch it too. The museum is nearly next door to the Prado Restaurant that I also mentioned. Anthony's is just a few minutes away by car.

Now if anyone can tell me where to get deviled crab rolls the size of a corn dog, I'd make that trip. The Biff Burger in Tampa sold them years ago...they were the absolute BEST! There's a local greek restaurant here called The Continental Corner that features live music with a Big Band theme! Their food is awesome - everything is delicious!

For those who are traveling through the plains, Red Rock Canyon Grill in Wichita KS has the best steaks I have ever tasted. They are also located in OK City and Tulsa. On the spendy side, but awesome!

Oops...sorry Continental Corner - you'll have to scroll down to it. On your way down the page, stop at Oscar's of Summerville - one of those local restaurants that only people living in the area go to - excellent.

I love Eastside Mario's as well (going there soon!) but I find that if you eat there a lot, you quickly run out of new dishes to try. (I used to work near one so all of our work functions were there.) In Toronto, check out Spring Rolls. It's all different types of Asian cuisine, and is absolutely incredible. Spring Rolls
